OSHMI - Open Substation HMI Reviews

While this is a good step in open source hmi, it is the richest hmi software in open source hmi, it has a long way to go. It doesn't support IEC61850 yet, which almost all IEDs in electrical industry supports, the configuration manuals are too simplistic to work, thus the configuration might be hugely time consuming and not sure about the rate of success. It is a good start for coding a new open source hmi software. I am in electrical industry automation, I don't know how it preforms in other industries. The good news is, the developer is also working to extend it, thus much more are to come though, enjoy! & Good luck!

This is an amazing project, it supplies web UI, you can easily design and edit your UI with svg format; it supplies kinds of protocol which are easy to connect with your devices and data, like you can connect IOT devices, connect real plant control devices, communicate with real plant data, communicate with simulation data, etc. The author ricardo is very nice, any questions ask him, always can get answer. Keep going on!

This is a great project. It gives since day one a pretty neat example of a good user interface, The editting for creating new screens its a little tricky , but is more a matter of knowing which information you really want displayed. It has many pieces that can be edited on the configuration files, but the documentation and support are all you need. There are specific questions that sometime will come up and Ricardo will answer. This is a real Software that requires understanding from different disciplines to work well and Ricardo seems to got it right!

This is a great project. I have spent months looking over SCADA programs for a project I am developing and finally came across this one and it was on point. There is a lot to this project and It can be complicated to first time users. I gave ease good because of the support and documentation. You couldn't get better support even if you paid for it. Ricardo worked close with me to answer all my questions and even put in late nights with me to extend the capabilities of his program to further fit my needs. Hats off to him and his OSHMI project.
