aaa this was nice. i love remmi and i love the little piece of the world you showed here. it left me curious about their whole dynamic and daily lives but i'll keep my curiosity >_<

the music is very good!! it really embraced me into the whole narrative.

also!! when i was playing i thought the GUI was familiar and when i read one of the comments saying that you took from one of robobarbie's games i was like "ohhh!! so that's where it comes from!!" i really liked Thursday Laundry <3

i really liked remmi. c-can............... can i pet them...........

Lovely, thoughtful little game! The black vulture is such a great character for this, and its facial animation is fabulously expressive. Great voice acting; I was so surprised and delighted when that super cute voice came out of that spooky bird! If I had one criticism it's just that it doesn't quite look like it's actually standing on the roof, but that's just a nitpick. Really great work overall!

Glad you enjoyed it! Flor did such an awesome job with Remi. >.<

And as for the criticism... I think that if you play the other ending, you'll find that what Remi's standing on isn't a roof. ;) But I do appreciate you pointing it out, though - after all, me running a stock image through a Photoshop filter does not exactly make for the most clear result. XD

I really loved this – so many interesting ideas, humour and melancholy, all woven together with a very deft hand!  Remi and their mentor have such a vivid dynamic between them, and even with the jam’s limited wordcount, you create a fascinating window their world and ways of being.

Each of the story’s endings were very affecting, and I particularly liked what you did with the background in the first{?} branch, it was a great example of the different options for storytelling in VN format.

And talking of the visuals – the pared back design and art direction worked so nicely here, and I don’t know how your artist made a vulture psychopomp so incredibly endearing, but here we are! They did a great job. Great work also on the voice acting – and fully voiced for o2a2 is no mean feat! A wonderful stand alone piece, though I'd also love to see more of this world if the thought takes you.

Thank you for this - I always love reading your reviews. >.<

I'm glad you thought the art direction was effective - I was a little worried going in that not having fancier bells and whistles effect-wise would detract for things. And yes, Flor did such a wonderful job with making Remi so cute! As for a continuation, I'll try my best to go where this world takes me. :')

It was a really intriguing piece, and it undeniably feels like there's way, way more to this world than the excerpt we were shown. Also, I want to pet Remi.

Glad I've managed to pique your interest - there's definitely more I want to do with this world. And yes, Remi deserves all the pets. XD

I really loved this!! You managed to create such a great sense of atmosphere even with the restrictions O2A2 presented!
The story was so interesting, I loved the concept of collecting memories & I especially loved Remi's character they're so sweet and funny haha :)

lovelovelove amazing job!

Aw, thank you for the sweet comment and glad you enjoyed it! Remi is definitely the best - I hope to do more with them in the future, if I can. :')

Hey! I played the game!!

The GUI was very interesting (did you go with NVL?? Or did you work around ADV so that it looks like NVL?), the sprite was very neat and the background cool too! The music track is very good, I really love it a lot! The voice acting was charming too!

Now, the whole concept of the game was very interesting: I loved how it was at the same time a criticism of the alienation capitalism leads to in one of the endings, and a genuine philosophical questioning about human condition in the other! In the end, griefs at the same time both specific to our society, and that humanity has shared ever since it existed!

The memory theme was also an interesting theme! The questions (more than the answers) about what is worth remembering, if remembering is worth something in the first place... You really managed to do something neat with that!

I now have a lot of questions to ask myself for my future insomnias, thanks!!

Hi! Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it. ^.^

The GUI was taken directly from robobarbie's Thursday Laundry and tweaked just a tad (definitely go check it out if you haven't, it's from last year's O2A2 - https://robobarbie.itch.io/thursday-laundry). The team definitely did a fantastic job, I'm so grateful to have them on board.

Regarding the themes, I'm glad they way I approached them resonated with you! These questions have also kept me up a bit. :')
