Technically a TLS is a subset of a Lidar technology. But in general usage, we can say that TLS is stationary and LIDAR could represent all the rest. Important to mention, that mobile scanning is performed also from handheld scanners which gain a lot of attention last few years.

They mostly appear from mirrors, windows, rain puddles, moving objects or reflective surfaces. There is also natural noise coming from the technology. You can imagine it this way. If you would be scanning a perfectly flat wall, your point cloud would still not be perfectly flat, but with some deviations of points (minimum with scanning station, smaller with TLS, bigger with SLAM).

Stress usually comes from the knowing, that you said to a client it will take a specific time. If possible, I always try to quote a job, not hours/days/weeks of the work.

Best way would be to use animation software, that can combine all the different types of 3D and 2D data, and render nice animation/video

TLS is technically is a subset of LiDAR group, which consist of any technology using light to detect and measure. Even though these terms are often use in your suggested way, many professionals would probably disagree.
