The SNP-3Rs is the Slovak National Platform for implementing the 3Rs principles as outlined by Russell and Burch into the science and education in Slovak Republic. The principles of the 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction and Refinement) were developed over 50 years ago and are providing a framework for performing more humane research.

ABOUT THE SOCIETY:
The Slovak Toxicology Society (SETOX) is associating professionals in the field of toxicology. SETOX was established in 2006 (by splitting from the Slovak Medical Society) and aims to:
- supporting the development of toxicology in Slovakia
- organizing scientific events (seminars, conferences)
- education in toxicology (professional courses, cooperation and support in PhD study and post-doctoral fellowship)
- publication activities (editing of monographs, conference proceedings, textbooks)
- cooperation with state authorities, other societies in fields related to toxicology at national and international level
- support development and implementation of in vitro methods into toxicology praxis
- dissemination of important toxicology related information to our members

The EPAA aims to replace animal testing by innovative, non-animal testing methods, to reduce the number of animals used and to refine procedures where no alternatives exist or are not sufficient to ensure the safety of substances (the '3R principle'). The partners are pooling knowledge and resources to accelerate the development, validation and acceptance of alternative approaches at national, European and global levels. The EPAA includes 5 Directorates-General of the European Commission, 37 companies, and 8 European industry federations, each representing a separate industrial sector.

Mirror group
The mirror group (MG) consists of representatives of civil society and includes academia, animal welfare, consumers and patient groups. It acts as a consultation forum in an advisory capacity to the steering committee for the implementation of the action programme, the EPAA projects and adds a broader societal perspective to EPAA’s work. I have overseen the process of entry of Slovak Cosmetology Society into the IFSCC. My responsibilities were communication with IFSCC and foreign cosmetology societies. I was actively involved in the co-organisation of local cosmetology conferences as member of LOC and annual seminars of the Slovak Cosmetology Society.
