Last week, Michal Makúch took the stage at TechBBQ in Copenhagen, presenting AgeVolt’s pitch deck on our smart e-mobility solutions. It was an exciting opportunity to showcase how we are transforming the future of electric vehicle charging. We’re also grateful to Slovak Embassy Denmark for their warm welcome and insightful discussions. We’ve returned to Slovakia full of fresh ideas, new contacts, and exciting partnerships that will help us push the boundaries of smart EV charging. Big things are coming!

🌟 Last week was a whirlwind of exciting opportunities for AgeVolt as we participated in two incredible international events! 🌟 At the Travel & Smart Cities Expo hosted by Plug and Play Tech Center our colleague Michal took to the stage to present our cutting-edge smart charging solutions. Our Lenka was also there, engaging with attendees and demonstrating how our smart charging digital platform works, showcasing our charging station and software in action. It was an immense honor to be selected to showcase our innovations in front of an audience comprising major airports, investment funds, and leading smart companies. This platform allowed us to connect with key players in the industry, paving the way for potential collaborations that could drive the future of sustainable mobility. Meanwhile, our colleague Dana represented AgeVolt at the Energy Matchmaking Event for Horizon Europe Cluster 5 in Brussels. We were thrilled to see our EV charging solutions capture the interest of experts and stakeholders, marking us as a potential partner for upcoming Horizon Europe projects focused on climate, energy, and mobility. The event, organized by several European innovation offices (Latvian office for Innovation & Technology in Brussels (LAT.TECH) ETAG - Estonian Research Council), brought together over 50 research and business experts from 8 countries. AgeVolt’s unique expertise in comprehensive HW and SW charging solutions, combined with our flexibility and experience with EU projects, made us a standout participant. Special thanks to the Horizont Európa Slovensko for their support. We are excited about the new connections we made and look forward to transforming these into fruitful collaborations. AgeVolt was also present at the prestigious Starmus Festival 2024, held in Bratislava from May 12 to May 17! 🌟 The Starmus Festival is a unique celebration of science, art, and music, bringing together some of the brightest minds and talents from around the globe to discuss "The Future of Our Home Planet." In the final two days of our stay as part of the Slovak Aid project in Nairobi, we dedicated our efforts to assess the readiness of our Kenyan partner for the production of AgeVolt charging stations. This assessment involved the participation of Ján Baláž, who is responsible for production at AgeVolt, joining us online. Additionally, we initiated discussions on establishing the most suitable sales model for the AgeVolt solution in Kenya and East Africa. We reached an agreement that at the end of March, our partners would visit us again in Bratislava to review all aspects of preparing our solution. Plans were also made for an official opening of our joint product's sales in Kenya in the middle of the year. Tuesday, February 27, 2024, marked a significant day not only for AgeVolt but also for Slovakia. In the morning, AgeVolt representatives Dana Rušinová and Jozo Tapajna, together with our Slovak Aid project partner Manoj Bakshi, CEO of Manyur Technologies, met with representatives of the Slovak Embassy in Kenya at the UN headquarters in Nairobi. We participated in a remarkable event during the ongoing 6th UN Environment Assembly. On this occasion, Slovak Environment Minister Tomáš Taraba presented Zainab Hawa Bangura, the Director-General of the UN Office in Nairobi, with a gift from Slovakia: an AgeVolt charging station, locally manufactured in #Kenya as part of our project. We had the opportunity to discuss with the Minister and Katarína Žuffa Leligdonová, the Slovak Ambassador to Kenya, our future plans for developing our local cooperation and supporting Slovak innovative companies in their expansion into Africa. During this event, we also spoke with Norbert Kurilla, advisor to the President of Slovakia, who was appointed as the Vice-President of the UN Environment Assembly on behalf of Slovakia. At this session, leaders and experts from 193 countries are defining new UN goals for sustainable development post-2030, with green themes becoming even more significant than before. O zákutiach elektromobility sa s nami rozprával Ján Zuštiak, zakladateľ spoločnosti AgeVolt, ktorá sa zameriava na inteligentné nabíjacie systémy a ich prepojenie s energetickým manažmentom budov.

Our Slovak Aid project, which AgeVolt implements with a local partner Manyur Technologies in Kenya, is nearing its end after 2 years. The goal of the project is to support the development of local production of AgeVolt charging stations and their sales in Africa. Thanks to the support of the Slovak Embassy in Kenya, it was possible to place a locally produced AgeVolt charging station at the UN headquarters for the UN Environmental Programmes and UN Habitat in Nairobi. AgeVolt representatives Dana Rušinová and Jozef Ťapajna visited the Slovak Republic's Representation Office in Kenya on February 23, 2024. They discussed further cooperation and the presentation of Slovak innovations supporting local needs in Africa with Katarína Žuffa Leligdonová, the Slovak Ambassador to Kenya, and Denisa Močková, the development diplomat. On Friday, February 23, 2024, engineers from our project partner in Kenya - Manyur Technologies installed an AgeVolt charging station, made in Kenya, at the UN headquarters in Nairobi. The UN thus participated in fulfilling its 17 global goals for sustainable development, especially concerning climate change, poverty eradication, decent work, and sustainable economic growth. #evchargingsolutions #africanmarket #energymanagement

The next stop for the business delegation was San Francisco, the venue for the significant event SLOVAKS MEET SLOVAKS, opened by the President of the Slovak Republic, H. E. Zuzana Čaputová. Representatives of the delegation met with Slovak professionals working in the largest global technology and innovation companies in the #USA. For AgeVolt, this was an exceptional event, as our representative, Michal Makúch, had the opportunity to give a brief presentation about our company, which subsequently achieved tremendous success and garnered positive reactions from the audience, for which we are extremely joyful! After the official part of the summit, networking followed, opening doors for future collaborations and partnerships. Michal established many valuable contacts, highlighting the importance of such events for the development of professional relationships and the presentation of Slovak innovative potential on the global stage.
