Yuichiro Hata

Yuichiro Hata (羽田 雄一郎, Hata Yūichirō, July 29, 1967 – December 27, 2020) was a Japanese politician. He was a member of the Democratic Party of Japan. He was a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet from 1999 until his death. Hata was born in Tokyo.

He was the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism from June 4, 2012 until December 26, 2012 during the Yoshihiko Noda cabinet.[1] Hata was the son of Prime Minister Tsutomu Hata.

Hata died in Tokyo on December 27, 2020 after being hospitalized with a fever, aged 53.[2] He was about to be tested for COVID-19 at the time of his death.[2]
