South Karelia (Finnish: Etelä-Karjala) is a part of Karelia and a region in Finland. Neighbouring regions are Kymenlaakso, Southern Savonia, and North Karelia.

Transportation: Freight trains from Russia are coming (as of 2024) thru the border village Vainikkala.[1]
