Newsmax Media, Inc. is an American cable news, political opinion commentary, and digital media company. It was founded by Christopher Ruddy in 1998. It has been described as conservative and right-wing propaganda.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
Newsmax launched a cable TV channel on June 16, 2014, to 35 million satellite subscribers through DirecTV and Dish Network.[7] As of May 2019, the network reaches about 75 million cable homes and has wide digital media player/mobile device availability.[8]
The website has been called by The New York Times as an important "force in conservative politics."[9]
