Nam June Paik (July 20, 1932 – January 29, 2006) was a Korean-born American artist. He is often thought to be the first video artist.[1]
In 1971, he made a cello out of three television sets and some cello strings. Then he got a famous cellist to play the cello.[2]
Starting with his debut, he started the neo-dadaism movement. In 2006, he died of natural causes.
