Mark Joseph Carney (born March 16, 1965) is a Canadian-born British-Irish economist and banker. He was the governor of the Bank of Canada from 2008 to 2013 and Governor of the Bank of England from 2013 until 2020 and was Chairman of the Financial Stability Board from 2011 to 2018.[2]
