Koya Kitagawa (北川 航也, Kitagawa Koya, born July 26, 1996) is a Japanese football player. He played for the Japan national team.
Biography
[change | change source]Kitagawa was born in Shizuoka on July 26, 1996. He joined J1 League club Shimizu S-Pulse from their youth team in 2015. Although he debuted in 2015, Shimizu was relegated to J2 League end of the 2015 season. In 2016, he became a regular player and Shimizu was returned to J1 in a year. In July 2019, he moved to Austrian Bundesliga club Rapid Wien.
On October 12, 2018, Kitagawa debuted for the Japan national team against Panama. In 2019, he participated 2019 Asian Cup. He played 5 matches and Japan won the 2nd place. He played 8 games for Japan until 2019.
