Gluteus medius

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The gluteus medius muscle

The gluteus medius is a broad muscle. It is one of the three gluteal muscles.

The gluteus medius muscle begins, or "originates," on the outer surface of the ilium between the anterior gluteal line below and the posterior gluteal line above. It also comes from the gluteal aponeurosis, a fascia covering its outer surface.
