Sarjit presently serves as the Vice-President of SINDA since his appointment by the Board of Trustees at SINDA AGM on 17 May 2021.

Sarjit also concurrently serves on SINDA Personnel Committee which comprises of the President of SINDA and the Key Appointment Holders.

He is also the Adviser to the Sinda Youth Club (SYC) and a member of SINDA’s Audit Review Committee.

Sarjit was appointed to the Resource Panel of SINDA in 2009 before taking on a role as a Key Appointment Holder at SINDA.

In his previous role as Honorary Secretary, Sarjit was a key member of the SINDA team to win the inaugural “2013 Special Commendation Award for Corporate Governance Policies and Strong Management” which was conferred by the Charity Council, Singapore.

More recently, SINDA was the winner of the Charity Transparency Award 2022, conferred by the Charity Council, Singapore.

Sarjit is appointed by the Singapore government as a member of the Committee on the Future Economy - Working Group on Legal and Accounting Services. The Committee will formulate strategies to develop a vibrant and competitive legal and accounting services sector for Singapore.

Sarjit also concurrently serves as the Chairman of the Administration and Finance Committee at the Football Association of Singapore (FAS).

Sarjit has since initiated various projects to successfully improve financial governance, accountability and results at FAS during the past five years. FAS was the winner of the Singapore Charity Transparency Awards in 2016.

Sarjit served as the Vice Chair of the Council during his first one year term in 2022. He now serves as the Chair effective 1 January 2023.

Sarjit was appointed by the Singapore government to help strengthen the Central Provident Fund (CPF) system. The Committee’s proposals which included the set up of the ‘CPF Life’ scheme were adopted by the Singapore government and have received wide support from all Singaporeans.

Sarjit currently serves as the Minister's Appointee on the Sikh Advisory Board, Singapore 🇸🇬

The Sikh Advisory Board was started by the British before the second world war to advise the Singapore Government on matters concerning the Sikh religion, customs and general welfare of the Sikh community. Today, it comprises 15 members, 11 from the 7 Sikh temples in Singapore and 4 nominated by the Singapore Government.
