  • Internet of Things and the 5th Generation Mobile Network Infrastructure

The definition of the next generation of mobile networks will not be incremental, instead the goal is to position the 5G network as a powerful enabler for many industries and at the center stage of many future business and technological transformations. The 5G network aims at providing a significant and diversified capacity and intelligent functions to a large set of classes of applications.

  • The Car that Looks Like Me

In the future, cars will be better at driving themselves than humans are. These smart cars will be useless, however, if humans do not trust them. Researchers from higher learning institutions are putting their effort in studying how to increase trust in automation technology in cars. - See more at: http://www.digitalservicecloud.com/insights/car-that-looks-like-me.html#sthash.PJ5Nnxyq.dpuf

  • 10 Things That Make Connected Cars Really Cool

Industry experts believe that consumers have already started looking at cars as smart mobile devices, and began evaluating models by the features offered, such as Internet connectivity, car management, data privacy and security and social apps. Very soon, all users will begin using these as critical aspects of evaluation. This is surely a trend that will strengthen because in cars, connectivity and smartness are not just snazzy but extremely useful too. So, what can connected cars do for you…

    Abstract:
In last decade, the combination of vehicles and communication was expected to strengthen the consumer vehicle industry to improve the revenues. In-vehicle computing provides electronic control system and safety to operate the vehicle as well as infotainment, edutainment, entertainment, and mobile commerce services in a safe and responsible manner. A specific name to describe the computer and electronic technology involved in our cars -- it's called automotive telematics which use informatics and telecommunication to enhance the functionality of the vehicles such as a wireless data applications, intelligent cruise control, navigation and GNSS in vehicles. This identifies telecommunications transferring information as one of the key enabling technology to offer these advanced services. Vehicles in the future will have significant increases in capability and demands for wireless communications resources. Applications include vehicle status and maintenance information, navigation information, entertainment, and concierge services. To meet these needs, the vehicle must have the capability to allocate and prioritize communications resources in response to the needs of applications. We propose a strategy for communications resources architecture to address these needs.
