Yara Poland began its operations in 1991, and over the past 30 years, the company has established an extensive sales network, making its fertilizer products, adorned with the Viking ship logo, readily accessible to Polish farmers and horticulturists. 🌱
Fun fact! In Poland, agriculture predominantly relies on nitrates, which has led to the widespread use and appreciation of YaraBela and YaraMila fertilizers. And thanks to Yara Poland's skilled team of regional agronomic advisors, they've significantly enhanced the company's presence in the local market. 🧑🌾
In Poland, agriculture is transforming as farmers work to respect natural habitats, with regenerative agriculture being a common practice, and we're proud to see the Polish team working in tandem with Polish farmers to grow a nature-positive food future! 🤝
Yara International's President & CEO Svein Tore Holsether and The Republic of Singapore’s President Tharman Shanmugaratnam met in Geneva.
Both sides had a fruitful discussion on topics ranging from smallholder farmers’ access to technology to the use of ammonia in maritime shipping.
Yara is ready to partner with Singapore closely to boost its #FoodSecurity and #Decarbonise maritime sustainably for win-win outcomes. This is given our unique position and industry-leading solutions in agriculture and shipping.
Already, we are in the game of co-innovating solutions to address food security and climate challenges. In Singapore, our Thryve Innovation CoLab is dedicated to scaling these regionally and beyond.
Meanwhile, Yara Clean Ammonia (YCA) actively collaborates with Singaporean stakeholders, businesses, and international players to establish a reliable and resilient clean ammonia supply chain to the country to serve power generation and the shipping fuel market. YCA is poised to make meaningful contributions to meet Singapore’s decarbonisation aspirations and at the same time enable Singapore to maintain its leading position in developing clean ammonia as a bunkering fuel.
