The Singapore-Industry Scholarship (SgIS) is an undergraduate scholarship for Singaporean talents who are keen to contribute to leading organizations within Singapore’s strategic sectors such as Built Environment. In collaboration with MOE, SgIS scholars are awarded tuition coverage and overseas exchange allowances. They can also expect internship and employment opportunities, alongside mentorship during and after their education journey. In support of City Development Limited’s (CDL) SME Supplier Queen Bee Programme, Woh Hup invited 68 management representatives from 44 companies for an informational briefing that was held on 15 July 2024 to encourage them to kickstart their decarbonization journey. The SME Supplier Queen Bee Programme aims to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to embark on their decarbonization, carbon accounting and reporting journey. Our Chief Operating Officer, Mr Yong Jian Rong, kicked off the session by engaging our collaborators and discussing the importance of aligning with sustainable practices. The briefing was followed by an in-depth sharing session of the programme by Ms Christina Lee from Global Green Connect (GGC) and Ms Sueann Lee from DBS Bank, before ending with Q&A and networking.
