🎉 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀' 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗩𝗗𝗟 𝗘𝗧𝗚 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲! 🌟 Today, we honor the incredible bond between father and son. Meet our dynamic duo from VDL ETG Singapore, whose dedication and teamwork inspire us all. Mokhtar Bin Sari and Hariz Mokhtar have shared what is it like to work with your family. Mokhtar (Senior manager quality) joined VDL ETG Singapore in 1997 as a process engineer, when it was still Phillips Machine Factory. Hariz (Lead production control) joined the company later in 2017, when his father recommended VDL as an employer to his son. When asked what the biggest advantage is to be working with your father/son, they both gave the same answer; Hariz is learning a lot from his fathers' extensive hands-on knowledge and experience, while Mokhtar benefits from his sons' insights on structured process flows. Mokhtar shares how proud he is of his son, being an accomplished engineer and him showing great leadership potential. They also both describe that work doesn't end at the VDL doorstep. "We do talk about work occasionally during the weekends. Discussing work matters outside a formal setting makes it easier to raise and resolve sensitive work-related issues." Here’s to the hardworking dads who lead by example, and the sons who carry on the legacy with pride. Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads out there! #vdletgsingapore #fathersday #strengththroughcooperation

    - 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 - Meet Thijs Lubberman, VDL ETG Technology & Development B.V. Management Trainee (since 2022) who spend the last 7 months in VDL ETG Singapore. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦? I worked on improving the predictability of out cleanrooms’ output, which involved designing and standardizing the tools and processes that our programs use. Integrating supply chain, capacity & customer demand. There were a lot of different stakeholders involved, which made it that I was able to experience many aspects of VDL ETG Singapore. During this assignment, I got to experience change management firsthand, which is definitely something I will take with me in the next steps of my career. 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴? After having worked in Almelo and Eindhoven, moving to a metropolitan place like Singapore was obviously a culture shock and a lifestyle adjustment. However, you feel in VDL ETG Singapore too, that it is part of the VDL family, and I integrated very quickly into the office culture. Singapore itself is a great base as it is the ideal hub for exploring South-East Asia and has got all of the best Asian food. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘫𝘴? I will first explore Vietnam the coming weeks and then return back to home to Tubbergen, where I’ll start my next assignment at VDL Enabling Technologies Group (ETG) Almelo in project management. Thank you for your valuable contributions & good luck with your next assignment, Thijs!

Last Wednesday, we kicked off our first town meeting of this year at our newly renovated cafeteria and it was great to see everyone proudly wearing their House of Colours jerseys for the event! 👏   In addition to the usual updates by our Management Team, we had a special segment to award our awesome colleagues who represented their House of Colour Teams and participated in at least one event last year. Congratulations to the Blue 🔵, Brown 🟤 and Yellow 🟡 teams, who emerged as the top three teams for 2023! 🎖️   We look forward to even greater participation in the House of Colours’ events this year and we can't wait to have everyone gathered back in our vibrant cafeteria for the next town meeting! 😊     #vdletgsingapore #TownMeeting #heartware #LetsGrowWellTogether #EmployeeEngagement #TeamSpirit #HouseofColours #DiversityandUnity
