With countless distractions demanding our attention, we become easily overwhelmed and unproductive. If you need help regaining control of your time and focus, try these effective productivity strategies: Pomodoro Technique: This method involves breaking up your workflow into 25-minute intervals with 5-minute breaks in between, and a longer break of at least 15 minutes after four sessions. Goodbye burnout! Time Blocking: This personal time management technique involves you dividing your day into specific time blocks allocated for different tasks or activities. This is much better than jumping from task to task every hour and it allows you to properly visualize how long it takes for you to complete a set of responsibilities.     Feeling stiff and sluggish? It's time to break up the workday with some quick desk exercises! 💪 Short bursts of movement can boost energy, improve focus, and prevent aches and pains. Try these simple routines to get your body moving without leaving your table! 🔋 Chair Squats - Stand up from your chair, feet spread apart, and carefully lower your body until you’re sitting on an imaginary chair. Slowly go back up. Repeat 10 times. 🔋 Calf Raises - Stand up behind your chair and hold onto it for support. With your feet together, raise your heels off the floor until you are standing on your toes. Lower your heels back down on the floor. Repeat 10 times, doing three sets. 🔋 Oblique Twists - If you’re on a swivel chair, sit upright, get your feet off the floor, and hold onto the edge of your desk for support. Twist your core by twisting your chair left and right. Do this 15 times. 🔋 Arm stretches - Do some tricep stretches, shoulder stretches, and chest stretches, holding each for two to three breaths.     Pomodoro Time Management Method: What Is It and How Does It Work? Are you struggling to focus on work due to distractions and quick exhaustion? Here’s a tried-and-tested time management technique you ought to dip your toes in: the Pomodoro Method! What is the Pomodoro Method? Developed by an entrepreneur in the 1980s, the Pomodoro Method is a routine wherein you break your work into specifically timed intervals. Each task is done for 25 minutes before you take a strict 5-minute break. A longer break, usually 15 to 30 minutes, is then taken after four work intervals. This method was created to train people to focus on their tasks better by allowing them to envision the length of time they need to work and then enforcing frequent restorative breaks, preventing both procrastination and burnout! Here’s how to do it yourself: 🍅 Set your timer to 25 minutes. 🍅 Work on one specific task. 🍅 Take a short break of 5 minutes when the timer runs out. 🍅 Repeat the process. After 4 sets of focus work, take a longer break of 15-30 minutes. Of course, you can adjust the time limits according to what’s optimal for you.
