Designing waste out of our business model has been our longstanding ethos – taking various forms from extending the lifespan of useful turbochargers through innovative reclamation to doing every job the first time right. As maritime decarbonization intensifies through the compliance of directives, equipment, systems and processes, we are playing our part in transforming through the use of green technologies, as well as remanufacturing and circular economy methodologies. We are embracing more targeted approaches to conserving resources in our daily operations – from energy-efficient advanced repair processes, IoT for process optimization, to eco-friendly, closed-loop supply chain practices. TruCare, our latest offering in turbocharger predictive maintenance, adds another layer of advanced analytics to enable onboard equipment reliability, to bring about the reduction of fuel usage and carbon emissions. At our mid-year management retreat today, we cross-examined our role in the beneficial cradle-to-cradle cycle, while learning more about thought leadership surrounding circular economy. We are 47!  Abuzz as usual but to a different tune this week as we enjoyed a special line-up in celebration of Tru-Marine Week. As an important milestone every year, each Tru-Marine Week has come to be known for recognizing progress and inspiring growth. It was important for us to include and inspire all colleagues in their part to play, with #ESG at the heart of what we do.  Kicking off the activities was a refresher training by Ms Penny PENG, KPMG Singapore ESG, which gave us food for thought on how we can be the first sustainable generation to do something about climate change.  Adding to the customary leadership sharing and sumptuous repasts, we closed the Week on a sweet note with an ice cream indulgence. As we inch towards our big 50, we will continue to strengthen our long-standing commitment to capability building and employee well-being.  There is much more to come!
