From August 5th to 9th, 2024, our regional fleet team kicked off the first-ever annual fleet meeting in Thailand, unifying Toyota fleet teams from the Middle East, Australia, and South Africa to collaborate on insights and innovations for our customers. We introduced new products in the pickup segment to enhance fleet productivity and efficiency. At TMA, diversity and unity are important values. With the upcoming National Day, we embraced the Singaporean culture with a rojak party in our office. Rojak is a local Singaporean dish that mixes fruits, vegetables, fried dough, and a sweet and spicy sauce. It's a tasty example of how different flavours can come together to create something wonderful — just like our team! We had fun devouring the tasty dish while chatting about living and working in Singapore with our overseas colleagues and friends. We also learned more about the history and significance of National Day, and what it means to be part of this dynamic and rich nation. Lexus Cambodia has officially joined the Lexus Asia family, with it's grand opening of their showroom in Phnom Penh over the weekend! Toyota Motor Asia Singapore wrapped up our Toyota Environment Month with a farm tour & farm-to-table activity on June 29, 2024, at City Sprouts @ West Coast.    Keeping in line with this occasion, a few of our TMA SG employees and their families had the thrill and joy of experiencing urban farming and sustainable eating by transforming farm-grown butterfly pea flowers into delicious egg tarts and ondeh ondeh!   🌿 Here’s to more sustainable activities in the future!

With deep sadness, the Toyota Motor Asia Family mourns the sudden loss of one of our members, esteemed colleague and leader, Mr. Anand S/O A Somasundram, Vice President of Customer First Division. Anand passed away on June 12th, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, after suffering a massive stroke. This is a huge loss to the entire organization and all who had the privilege of knowing and collaborating with him. Throughout his 21 years in Toyota, Anand had demonstrated his exceptional leadership, vision, and commitment. His contributions have profoundly influenced our company and will continue to do so for many years to come. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Anand was renowned for his compassion, integrity, and steadfast dedication to mentorship and development. He was not only a leader but also a cherished friend to many. Our hearts and sincerest condolences go out to Anand’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. We are thankful for the time we shared with him and will hold him dear in our memories.

As we wrapped up our participation at the Citi Para Swimming World Series Singapore 2024, which was held at the OCBC Aquatic Centre from May 14–19, here’s a sneak into the thrilling time we had. Toyota Motor Asia (TMA) continued to be the main sponsor for the Singapore leg of the event for the second consecutive year and for the third time since 2019. 🎉 TMA would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the amazing swimmers who participated in the Citi Para Swimming World Series Singapore 2024! Each swim and race is an achievement, and your relentless spirit and determination inspire us. A special shoutout to our Global Team Toyota Athlete (GTTA) Wei Soong Toh 杜维崧, who clinched a Gold medal in the Men’s 50m Butterfly🥇 and a Bronze medal in the Men’s 100m Freestyle🥉. 🎉 Not forgetting the rest of our GTTA(s), your dedication, hard work, and passion have truly shone through, making us all incredibly proud. Our TMA SG members from the different departments also had the opportunity to volunteer their time across the 6 days to support our para-sports community. We are heartened to see our team raising awareness for para-sports and athletes through guided tours and assisting athletes during the competition.
