As the discourse around the potential and growth of AI continues to intensify, it is important for stakeholders within the AI ecosystem, like Visa, to actively participate in these critical conversations. By engaging in these discussions, we aim to navigate the complexities of this evolving topic, identify opportunities, and collectively shape the future of AI with ecosystem partners. It is this commitment that led us to participate in the recent SuperAI conference. Moderated by Kunal Chatterjee, Head of Innovation, Asia Pacific at Visa and joined by Pachara (Pinn) Lawjindakul, Kasima Tharnpipitchai, and Susli Lie, their panel delved into the shifting AI funding landscape, the importance of localisation, and the unique opportunities present in Asia. Meanwhile, Prateek Sanghi, Head of Visa Consulting and Analytics, Asia Pacific joined a panel with Bill Padfield, Thorsten Neumann (龚拓思), Murari Mohan and Joon-Seong Lee, where they discussed the transformative power of AI in banking and for financial services. Financial institutions are focusing on safeguarding data privacy while innovating for hyper-personalisation as well as making AI adoption secure and scalable. The discussion highlighted that the exciting time for AI experimentation in both banks and startups is now. #AI, especially #GenerativeAI, is transforming the world we live in. But there is no one-size-fits-all way to use it. We look forward to more local and global conversations as we unlock the endless possibilities that AI can create for everyone.
