Global Learning Week is back and this year, we're focused on helping our employees develop career resilience, improve their career branding and pick up new knowledge on topics such as Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability to thrive in today’s transformative world.
We are at the halfway mark of this year’s expanded Global Learning Week at Standard Chartered Singapore, and I’m encouraged by the enthusiasm shown by colleagues from different parts of the Bank. The format may be slightly different, but the goal of empowering our people to acquire the right and in-demand skills for their personal and professional growth remains the same. This year, our focus is on enabling employees to take charge of their career trajectories by building interest in non-traditional career pathways and pulling them towards bigger and more complex career challenges. In other words, helping them develop career resilience, improve their career branding and pick up new knowledge on topics such as Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability to thrive in today’s transformative world. My thanks to Eng Chye Tan and team for putting together a rich and well-curated programme, and to the many internal and external experts who have and are still contributing their time and expertise to helping our people succeed. Also a special shout-out to the global HR Management Team members who flew in from the UK last week. Singapore is a key market for the Bank and home to our main businesses and technology hubs, and I’m glad our senior leaders were able to spend some time and interact with colleagues here.
