We are delighted that the Karim Family Foundation has extended its support for the Singapore Badminton Association with a generous commitment of $2.25 million and are excited to see the new KFF Badminton Arena at Guillemard Road when it reopens on National Day. In 2023, the Foundation made a donation towards the association’s player development programme. The home of Singapore Badminton is now KFF Badminton Arena. We are proud to play a part in the redevelopment of the historically significant location, which will be a place for our national shuttlers as well as avid recreational badminton players to train in and hang out. Exciting News for Badminton Enthusiasts! We are thrilled to announce that the area at 100 and 102 Guillemard Road will be named the KFF Badminton Arena, Singapore's first smart stadium powered by JK Technology. This naming recognizes our generous partners, the Karim Family Foundation and JK Technology, for their invaluable support. To honour the rich history of the badminton hall within the arena, we are proudly retaining its original name, the Singapore Badminton Stadium. Get ready for an unparalleled experience at the new arena, featuring a diverse range of food, fitness, and wellness facilities. The stadium boasts nine courts and seating for 1,300 spectators. Thanks to JK Technology, expect cutting-edge innovations such as live streaming capabilities, LED screens, and auto-tracking PTZ cameras for an immersive gameplay experience. Our doors open on 9 August 2024. [SBA Send-Off Dinner, by Singapore Pools] Together with Singapore Pools, we hosted the appreciation dinner for Loh Kean Yew, Yeo Jia Min, Terry Yong Kai Hee, and Jessica Wei Han Tan. Together with the Guest-of-Honour, Dr. Mohd Maliki Osman, who is also SBA's Patron-in-Chief, our National Team, Management Committee, and friends of SBA, we had the privilege of celebrating this special milestone for the upcoming major games. The 2021 badminton world champion Loh Kean Yew from Singapore says that discipline means doing things you have to do, even when you don’t feel like it.
