Singapore's Growing Tech Talent Demand. By 2028, Singapore will need 41,000 new tech jobs to fuel its economic growth, with the tech workforce expected to surge in key roles like Computer & Info Systems Managers, Software Developers, and Data Analysts. The IMF forecasts a 2.5% annual economic growth from 2023-2028, highlighting the increasing demand for tech talent. Singapore Hiring Optimism for Q4 2024 Nearly 46% of Singaporean employers plan to increase headcount in Q4 2024, signaling a positive shift in hiring sentiment. This marks the first increase in optimism for the year after three declining quarters. The net employment outlook stands at 29%, up 9 points from Q3 but still below last year's figure. - 46% of companies plan to increase staff. - 36% will maintain current levels. - 17% expect reductions. Top sectors for hiring: Finance & Real Estate (64%) and Communication Services (35%). However, Energy & Utilities show a decline with a -30% outlook. Employers are focusing on improving work-life balance and training managers to support employees. Despite some global uncertainties, the hiring outlook is broad-based across sectors.
