Delighted to partner with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and participate in its annual Public Sector Day at Raffles City Convention Centre yesterday. Was great to share Oncoshot's work with Federated Data systems and our experiences in tackling the challenges of data extraction, restructuring and secure models of insights sharing in Oncology. Noorbakht Khan, Solutions Architect, was also on stage to go into the details of the AWS solutions that have helped Oncoshot build a trusted, secure and scalable federated data architecture. Oncoshot was delighted to attend the inaugural MSK iHub Challenge over the last few days. A big thank you and congrats to Jae Zhong Svetlana (Lana) Voskoboynik, MPH and Rick Peng on the launch of the #DCT challenge.

Oncoshot team was delighted to present our work on "Harnessing Federated Databases for Transformative Clinical and Genomic Data Management," at the recent AWS Genomics Community Day in Singapore. Our presentation focused on the potential of clinical and genomic data in cancer clinical trials. We shared our experience and success across APAC in creating the foundations for data-driven clinical trials workflows. We were also honored to receive the Go-To-Market Award at the event. As we aim to increase our adoption amongst healthcare system partners globally, we are excited to work with the AWS team. Here's my take on Roche's planned sale of Flatiron Health. The work and early success of Flatiron around 2015-2018 greatly inspired my thinking about the unique challenges of the APAC ecosystem and whether a different model was needed to make data sharing a reality in healthcare systems outside of the US. The growth and challenges of Flatiron and other data companies in the US have been instructive in defining Oncoshot's role as a model for cancer data management and data sharing in APAC. Here's my take on the divestiture, the learnings for Oncoshot and why we're confident about the future of healthcare data sharing in the space of #clinicaltrials and #RWE. Delighted to be at American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)'s #ASCO2024 in Chicago since Wednesday with Head of Sales, David Chia. It's been fantastic meeting with our industry partners and collaborators and running into medical oncology colleagues at the convention centre :) AI and the issues around maximising its potential in cancer research and clinical care continue to take centre stage across the event. In yesterday's opening session, Microsoft's Jonathan M Carlson reiterated that the challenges in AI and Clinical trial was not the technology - it is all about the #ecosystem. Taking some liberty in paraphrasing, Jonathan, " Successful implementation of AI is dependent on resolving questions of where is the data, how do we use it ethically and what are the business models that are needed to make it work." Am glad that we at Oncoshot have invested our efforts in building this ecosystem across APAC and now the UK. Grateful as well for the partners who see the importance in enabling and investing into these ecosystems. Looking forward to meeting up with the rest of our partners over the next 2 days here!

Patient-centricity in clinical research #Patient-centricity is a keyword or buzzword many of us hear about in conferences. In the Asia-Pacific region which patient-centric solutions have been present in patient facing solutions for clinical care, we're at the beginnings of truly embedding patient-centricity when it comes to clinical research. Involving patients in the early stages of clinical research ensures that research priorities align with patient needs, ultimately leading to the development of more relevant and impactful interventions. Post-marketing, patient engagement facilitates the collection of real-world evidence, providing insights into treatment effectiveness and safety in diverse patient populations. Within clinical development, patient input aids in the design of more patient-friendly trials, leading to improved recruitment and retention. Market authorization and reimbursement processes benefit from patient involvement as well, ensuring that approved treatments address unmet patient needs and are accessible to those who can benefit from them. Embracing a patient-centric approach at each stage not only enhances the relevance and effectiveness of healthcare interventions but also fosters a sense of inclusivity and empowerment among patients.
