Inspiring a Life of Purpose and Significance

About us

MentorsHub - Inspires a Life of Purpose and Significance. MentorsHub Ltd is ground-up initiative from the heart. The non-profit organization provides a mentoring platform where people could come to empower and be empowered, to build and be built up, transform and be transformed. Our pro bono marketplace mentorship is focused on building capabilities, confidence and character. Our young beneficiaries are youths age 21-26 who have limited access and opportunity to professional guidance. We prioritize those from less privileged backgrounds, who lacked resources, or struggled on an uneven playing field. Professionally, MentorsHub endeavours to be a melting pot of mentoring resources, where best practices and thought leadership can be built and exchanged for greater good. OUR SOCIAL MISSIONS: 1. TO INSPIRE A LIFE OF PURPOSE AND SIGNIFICANCE We help our youths align their passion to a greater purpose, understand their significance, develop a sense of mission, and gain clarity in their career and life direction. 2. TO NURTURE A SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE We endeavour to help uncover and nurture the potentials of our mentees through a discovery and developmental process to maximise their strengths for excellence. 3. TO INCREASE SOCIAL MOBILITY We endeavour to guide them in the building of capabilities that increase their opportunities for social mobility. 4. TO LIVE A FULFILLING LIFE By helping our youths to find meaningfulness in their career and life, we endeavour to instill in them the virtues for success, impact & fulfillment.

It was an inspiring session where we had Mindset Speaker and Abundance Coach Eugene Seah share his insightful views on the Antifragile mindset, encouraging mentees to forge their own path no matter what future challenges that might come their way. He shared that the Antifragile mindset is about exercising a muscle, to view challenges as catalysts for growth, that each difficulty we encounter is fertiliser for us to evolve into better versions of ourselves if only we believe them to be. The power lies in our choices, when we decide to harness the lessons brought on by life, we learn more about ourselves, our willpower, compassion, and innate wisdom. The metaphor Eugene used was to imagine ourselves as seeds, a seed will remain a seed without the continuous sufferings of the burning sunlight, showers of rain, being shrouded with darkness underneath the dirt and the various onslaught of nature. Instead of hoping we do not encounter stresses of life, may we pray that warmth of sunlight, the music of rain and the embrace of darkness can nourish our vastest dreams so that we can freely explore our infinite potentials. #Purpose #Mentoring #Growth

We had the pleasure and honor to have Shawn Hoh, a professional communications trainer, sharing his expertise on interview tips and perspectives with us, to prepare our mentees and alumni for their first interviews, or maybe even for those who are seeking growth or changing fields. Shawn’s warm and enthusiastic sharing was really effective in keeping our participants engaged. The sentiments are positive on the value they were able to take away from this session; on how to better comprehend interviewer intentions to craft targeted personal anecdotes, leaving an authentic impression within a compact interview slot. On a broader perspective, Shawn also shared some great insights on the value of spending some time to figure out what we are truly passionate about. This work not only allows us to portray a more grounded and genuine persona for prospective employers’ assessment for our job fit, it’s also useful for us to evaluate if the job aligns with our true passions as well. Because, more than just a means of livelihood, a meaningful job can lead to a more fulfilling life. #Purpose #Mentoring #Growth

It was a privilege to partner with The Ngee Ann Kongsi Alumni last Saturday to upskill their mentors under their Ignite Mentoring Program. Led by our experienced mentors Adeline Tiah 謝善嫻 & Janice Hong, they facilitated an interactive workshop to equip their mentors with the various mentoring and coaching frameworks; to empower them to enhance the overall outcomes for mentees. As Mentoring has become a national agenda, we hope to raise the bar for mentoring and share best practices from out past 9 years of mentoring experience. As MentorsHub evolved to become a Center of Excellence, we hope to forge meaningful partnerships with numerous organisations, amplifying our ability to make a difference. Once again, our heartiest congratulations to NAKSB on the successful launch of the 2024 cohort of mentoring. Together, we are shaping a future filled with purpose and success. #Purpose #Mentoring #Growth
