I loved seeing so many clients, partners and collaborators yesterday at Coke! Great conversations are being had about human rights risks and how they relate to environmental impact, how to include logistics in our conversations about HRDD, and the potential for partners in the post-consumer waste space. I also heard more than one reference to the importance of involving workers directly as rightsholders, and the need for effective platforms for employers and workers as a first line of defense for working conditions—- this is exactly what our WOVO universe does, so it’s great to hear others see the value in our bottom-up, supplier-owned and worker-centered approach. There’s a lot of work to do in order to help companies and supply chains be ready for CSDDD, and future-proof companies are building these systems now. Please say hi if you are in Atlanta today!

Still rights and responsibilities training is often left out of grievance mechanism implementation. Since 2021, Decathlon has partnered with Labor Solutions to deploy worker surveys to more than 125k workers in over 100 suppliers, 12 countries and 17 languages. Our work didn't stop with surveys, we worked with Decathlon's suppliers on a host of improvement activities from in-depth surveys, training and creating action plans.
