It was our pleasure to support the Singapore Business Federation for the Singapore Apex Business Summit, which was attended by ministers, leading business executives and more than 1,700 senior delegates from Singapore and the wider region.
“Alone we can do so little; Together, we can do so much” 11 months of planning and the long nights in the runup paid off with the successful conclusion of the 2nd Singapore Apex Business Summit! Delivering an event with 1,700 delegates, 108 speakers, 24 plenary sessions, 6 breakout tracks, 4 spotlights over 3 conferences was only possible because of the ensemble of partners that believed in us. To our 5 Gold (HSBC, Kuok Group Singapore, Mastercard, PSA Singapore, V3 Group Limited), 2 Silver (OCBC, Pacific International Lines (PTE) Ltd) and 3 Bronze (BIPO, China Mobile International Limited, KnowBe4) partners, thank you for the generous support to execute the event! To our 2 Knowledge Partners EY (FEC) and Hinrich Foundation (FOTF), thank you for curating the topics and assembling the knowledgeable cast of panels with us! Grateful to the 6 Special Supporting Organisations – Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), Ministry of Social and Family Development, Singapore (MSF), Ministry of Trade and Industry (Singapore), National Council of Social Service (NCSS), NVPC - Towards a City of Good who worked with us in the content and securing the GOHs as well as the 57 Supporting Organisations and Associations who amplified our event to their networks! As the APEX Business Summit, SABS provided the platform for: - 1. Launching the “Transforming the Singapore Economy Report” by DPM Heng Swee Keat, chronicling the achievements of 8 years of economic transformation through the ITMs. 2. Launching NCSS’s Sustainable Philanthropy Framework by Minister Masagos Zulkifli to guide businesses committed to excelling in the social aspect of ESG. 3. Coupling the importance of doing well and doing good with NVPC Company of Good (COG) Conference done in conjunction with Future Economy Conference and opening of Singapore Business Federation (SBF) Foundation’s Community Marketplace by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam to facilitate businesses engagement with community organisations. 4. Announcing HSBC-SBF partnership to help Singapore businesses to explore opportunities in India and the Middle East. 5. Announcing a new public-private initiative - the Centre for Future of Trade & Investment (CFOTI), to build capability in our businesses to engage in global cross-border trade and investment. A big THANK YOU to our Strategic Partner, MP International Pte Ltd and PR Partner, H/Advisors Klareco, for your expertise and resources to deliver such a memorable event for our participants, speakers and sponsors! Finally, to my awesome TeamSBF and Council Members for their passion and commitment. The ownership each took on the roles given, the dedication to excellence in delivery and the dexterity in the face of last-minute changes are what divide between a good and a great event! SABS may end but our work to help businesses navigate the “End of Business as Usual” to be future-ready across our 6 Action Agendas continue!
