In the complex and high-stakes environment of an Alumina refinery, attention to detail is not just a requirement, it's a lifesaver. Let’s hear from Alyssa Mortimer, Insulation Technician, on how she uses #TeamEnerMech’s lifesaving rules in practice. “Today, I want to highlight the importance of thoroughness in safety protocols. A recent experience at a client's site reinforced this for me. Tasked with insulation removal on a boiler, I noticed discrepancies in equipment identification. This could have led to serious safety oversights. However, by following the lifesaving rule of 'Stop and Resolve', I intervened, halting the work and consulting with the client. The result? A potential hazard was averted. It's a reminder that vigilance and clear communication are key to maintaining a safe work environment.” Let's keep putting safety first, every time. #SafetyFirst #RiskManagement #WorkplaceSafety

Today we celebrate World Youth Skills Day. We are dedicated to inspiring the next generation by offering opportunities that provide direct experiences, broaden horizons and showcase the possibilities within our sector. Our offshore Houston team recently hosted a group of interns to experience first-hand our work for Trinidad and Tobago’s Cypre development. Under the expert guidance of our team, these enthusiastic individuals safely observed the system integration testing of the umbilical testing system - a critical phase before being deployed offshore, all supported by EnerMech's equipment and rigorously tested in Houston. We’ve had some great feedback on the session with the interns, praising everyone’s willingness to share expertise and answer questions. Big shout out to Hunter Bowen, William Staudt, Oscar Herrera, Gino Mancinelli and Noa Davis for their consummate professionalism. We wish all the interns all the very best in their future careers! #WorldYouthSkillsDay #WYSD24 #teamwork #nextgeneration #collaboration #subsea

We were privileged last Friday, May 17, to accommodate the Bel-Air Primary School for a tour of our state-of-the-art Training facility. The students were shown various training required for jobs in the Energy industry and given the opportunity to partake in fun activities, in a safe and controlled environment, such as trying on PPE and confined space scenario, etc. Our instructors, Tiffany Balgobin and Christina Ramsammy, showed the enthusiastic students the operation of the HUET which they are eager to try when they get older.

Today, we remember the Piper Alpha tragedy, a devastating incident that occurred on July 6, 1988, in the North Sea. The incident resulted in the loss of 167 lives and had a profound impact on the oil and gas industry. As we reflect, let us also recognize the valuable lessons learned and our unwavering commitment to safety. The Piper Alpha disaster served as a wake-up call for the industry, highlighting the critical need for robust safety systems and effective emergency response protocols. It taught us that safety is not just a responsibility but a mindset that should be embraced by each one of us. Today, as professionals, let us renew our commitment to safety. By prioritizing safety in all our actions, we can prevent incidents, protect lives, and safeguard our environment. Together, we honor the memory of those affected by the Piper Alpha tragedy by working towards a safer future. #SafetyFirst #LessonsLearned

On Friday 28th June, a dynamic team from EnerMech's Integrity Team undertook the formidable Three Peaks Challenge, completing this in an incredible 22.5 hours. EnerMech were delighted to support the team by covering the cost of their van hire for the duration of the challenge. Additionally, in recognition of the team’s achievement all our fundraising efforts throughout July-September will go towards Macmillan Cancer. The Just Giving page is still open for donations. You can show your support here https://lnkd.in/e8fBQNZE This was not only a test of physical endurance and team spirit, but also a meaningful quest in support of Macmillan Cancer, a charity that stands as a beacon of hope and assistance for those battling cancer. Every step that was taken and each peak reached helped our team to contribute to Macmillan's vital services, which ensure that no one faces cancer alone. We are proud of our adventurers Callum Duguid, Kieren Will, Alex Thoirs, Scott Robb, Brian Watt and Liam Cheyne as they pushed themselves to the limit for an extraordinary cause. Congratulations team!! #3PeaksChallenge #SupportMacmillan #BenNevis
