Singapore’s Logistics sector, which enables over half of our GDP, is placed first in the World Bank Logistics Performance Index Global Rankings. However, globally 11% of carbon emissions stem from logistics services such as freight, ports, and warehousing. Customer expectations and regulatory pressure around sustainability are intensifying, and much remains to be done to help our logistics enterprises fend off climate-related risks, improve their #ESG performance, and transform their business and operating models to thrive in the green economy. Eden Strategy Institute, LLP. has been working over the past few months on a #sustainability study for the #logistics sector, and are really proud today to witness the launch of the Green Supply Chain Knowledge Hub and Logistics Sustainability Playbook! Congratulations 🎉 to our learners who have just completed the Measuring and Reporting on Sustainability course, part of the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)-Eden ModularMaster in Sustainability Programme! The #sustainabilityreporting landscape is rapidly evolving, and this course took a strategic and integrated approach to synthesise global reporting frameworks and standards such as #GRI, #IFRS, SGX Group, as well as the #unsdgs and #tcfd. The class developed a grounding on carbon pricing, the carbon markets, and RECs, received hands-on practice with #ghgaccounting, and backed up their #sciencebasedtargets with the marginal abatement cost curve. Finally, they also gained exposure on the range of digital reporting tools as well as practical guidance on producing a credible #sustainabilityreport, sustainability #assurance, and even developed sustainability report cards for their own organisations. Special thanks to all guest faculty and expert speakers, including Corrado Chr.
