What an exhilarating September! In the past month, our teams have been busy showcasing our leading-edge solutions at various semiconductor and SMT events globally. A recap on the exciting events last month: 🚀 Our innovations across ASMPT SMT Solutions, Critical Manufacturing, and ASMPT SEMI Solutions were on full display, ranging from AI-driven solutions and Smart Automotive technologies at SEMICON Taiwan, to our ICD, OPTO, CIS and Intelligent Factory solutions at the inaugural SEMICON India. Our 5D-SPI System Process Lens, WORKS Software Suite and DEK TQ printer platform were also showcased at SMTA Guadalajara. 🔬 At the 50th European Conference on Optical Communication, ASMPT AMICRA presented its latest breakthroughs in silicon photonics and modern co-packaged optics, showcasing ASMPT's expertise in advanced optical communications. 💡 Our SEMI Solutions Co-CEO Lim Choon Khoon was a keynote speaker on "Enabling the AI Era" at the 2024 Semiconductor Packaging Trend Forum, sharing his insights on the complex ecosystems required to support the continued growth and advancements of AI. 🍃 On sustainability, Global Head of ESG, Richard Ooi, shared our work in developing various strategies and frameworks in pursuit of our Net Zero 2035 goal at the Semiconductor Sustainable Impact Summit 2024 in Taiwan and Singapore. 🎯 Automatic compensation for component height differences and PCB warpage during assembly With SMD components, there are always small deviations in height, and the PCBs to be assembled are not always perfectly flat. These variables must be assessed and considered during placement to ensure consistent placement quality. How to assemble odd shaped components the best way 🧩 Odd Shaped Components (OSCs) are becoming increasingly important in electronics manufacturing. They often have to be assembled together with normal SMT components on mixed boards. This requires highly flexible production technology that also meets the special requirements of THT (Through Hole Technology) heavyweights: They need special feeders, grippers, and inspection systems that can handle both the higher weight and the many different package and connector shapes. 🚀 The ASMPT OSC Package extends the flexible SIPLACE SX placement platform into a powerful and reliable OSC platform.
