Helen Brand's second day in Singapore was filled with productive meetings and partnerships. She began the day by meeting with Junie Fo, Vice President & Head of Commercial & Professional Services, from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), where we proposed learning and development opportunities and to jointly develop sectoral trends and insights reports. Next, Helen Brand met with the new ACRA CE, Mrs. Huey Min Chia-Tern. They discussed the CE's priorities and strategy for ACRA - Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, thanked ACRA for supporting the ACCA Singapore annual conference and their presence at the 88th Anniversary celebrations, and explored the progress of the Accountancy Workforce Review Committee Findings (AWRC). We also proposed a joint edition of the Global Talent Trends 2025 report with ACRA, and highlighted the upcoming Diploma in Sustainability. Finally, Helen met with representatives from the Ministry of Finance (Singapore) to express thanks for their support of the 88th celebrations and to reiterate ACCA's commitment to international talent mobility. They discussed ACCA's involvement in various COPs, including plans for COP 29, and highlighted our sustainability experience and credentials. Additionally, they sought the Minister's views on the Green Bonds Programme, our role in Green Financing, and the possibility of joining the UK-Singapore and UK-ASEAN working committees in Green Finance. Recapping Helen Brand's first day in Singapore. 🇸🇬 After the roundtable, Helen Brand, CE of ACCA, had a productive meeting with Nikesh Mehta OBE, His Majesty's British High Commissioner. They discussed ACCA's priorities and expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the British High Commission and the Department for Business and Trade in the Asia Pacific region. We also reiterated its request to join the UK-Singapore and UK-ASEAN working committees on Green Finance, aligning with its mission to support the sector and profession. Next, Helen met with Fann Kor, CEO of ISCA, Wei Luo Tan, Divisional Director, Qualification, Education and Partnership, and Terence Lam, Director of Advocacy and Professional Standards, to congratulate them on ISCA's 61st anniversary. She also expressed appreciation for inviting ACCA Singapore Network Panel Chair Wilson Koh to attend their celebrations. The meeting explored potential areas for collaboration between ACCA and ISCA.
