Installing Apps from SideQuest 

  1. Set Up Developer Mode:

    • Download the Meta Quest app on your phone.
    • Go to Devices > Headset Settings > Developer Mode.
    • Toggle Developer Mode ON.

  2. Install SideQuest:

    • Go to the SideQuest website and download the SideQuest app for your PC/Mac/Linux or use the mobile version.

  3. Connect Your Headset to Your Computer:

    • Use a USB cable to connect your Meta Quest to your computer.
    • Authorize the connection inside the headset by allowing USB debugging.

  4. Install Apps via SideQuest:

    • Launch SideQuest and browse for apps or games.
    • Click Install to Headset to sideload the app.

Installing APK Files Directly (Advanced Users)

  1. Enable Unknown Sources:

    • From your Meta Quest headset, go to Settings > Security and enable Unknown Sources.

  2. Transfer APK File to the Headset:

    • Connect your headset to your PC.
    • Transfer the APK file to the headset’s storage.

  3. Use a File Manager App:

    • Open a file manager app (e.g., SideQuest or a built-in one in the headset) to locate and install the APK.

Troubleshooting Installation Issues

  • Check Storage: Ensure there’s enough space on your headset.
  • Stable Internet Connection: Verify Wi-Fi connectivity.

It is a nice description but I can't see how to do any of it?

There are just two cars on a street to get into. And doing that is quite difficult.

After you hit 8mph it all goes dark. Are there some lights on the car that I need to switch on?
