    I did three semester of master studies in applied mathematics with a focus on machine learning and data science. I especially enjoyed topological data analysis and mathematical statistics.

    These were very exciting and challenging times during which I learned a lot about the political dynamics of autocratic systems, everyday life in the developing world and how to integrate with a different culture.
    The various courses included in this BA also gave me a broad understanding of history, politics, economics as well as a well developed ability to express myself in writing.
    Finally my time in the humanities gave me the ability to consume large amounts of information in different disciplines.

    During my time in Argentina I dove into the political and economic history of South America.
    The courses gave me a good understanding of the cycles of corruption, inflation and sovereign defaults that have plagued the region and undermined the democratic institutions.

    I found it especially interesting to learn about Argentinas fall from the second richest country in the world to a country ravaged by hyperinflation, military juntas and sovereign defaults.
