Swatch has just released its latest addition to its MoonSwatch Collection: the Bioceramic MoonSwatch MISSION TO EARTHPHASE, celebrating the splendor of the Earth as seen from the Moon. MISSION TO EARTHPHASE features a moon phase but more importantly – and for the first time in watchmaking history – an earth phase! Longines Flagship Heritage This year, the winged hourglass brand is extending its Flagship Heritage line with three new versions in Havana beige, anthracite and green, all equipped with a moonphase complication. A striking tribute to the line's historic Flagship model launched in the 1950s, the new Flagship Heritage models combine technical expertise with timeless elegance. The collection’s signature, an 18-carat gold medallion decorated in hand-painted enamel, is featured on the case back. An emblematic line for the brand since the late 1950s, Flagship was one of Longines’ very first collections. The flagship of a fleet, when it is at sea, flies the flag of the fleet's commanding officer.  In 2024, the brand is extending its Flagship Heritage collection, equipped since 2023 with a moonphase complication, with three new versions sporting sunray dials in Havana beige, anthracite and green. These watches combine technical mastery and aesthetic appeal in a tribute to the collection's historic models. The genuine signature of the Flagship collection since its launch in 1957, an 18- carat gold medallion embossed on the watch’s case back, depicts a caravel in full sail on a vivid blue sea, hand-painted in enamel. The stainless-steel case with a screwdown case back has an understated and timeless design and a diameter of 38.5 mm. It has a satin-brushed finish, with shortened and chamfered lugs that are suited to every wrist. These new timepieces are powered by the exclusive Longines L899.5 calibre, equipped with a silicon balance-spring and innovative components, providing a magnetic resistance ten times greater than the ISO 764 reference standard. This selfwinding mechanical movement is combined with a moonphase complication and a power-reserve of up to 72-hours. The new Flagship Heritage watches also feature distinctive domed dials inspired by the original 1957 model. These sunray dials, in Havana beige, anthracite and green, are enhanced by eleven applied hour markers, plated in rhodium or rose gold and elongated at 3, 9 and 12 o'clock. Coated with Super-LumiNova® to ensure optimal legibility, the hour and minute hands are plated in rhodium or rose gold. Their colour matches the moon and stars on the moonphase indicator. These elegant timepieces come with straps in brown, anthracite or black leather, fitted with a Heritage tongue buckle in stainless steel. Tissot PRX UFO Robot Grendizer Tissot announces a collaboration with the manga UFO Robot Grendizer, merging two iconic characters from the 70s: the famous PRX and the super robot anime from Japan. This association opens a new chapter in the history of Tissot, mixing Swiss craftsmanship and 70s design with manga pop culture. With the launch of the new Grendizer U series, new fans are welcomed into this fantastic world, while those familiar with the manga are invited on a nostalgic but joyful journey back in time. This special edition watch combines the vintage design of the PRX with the iconic elements of the popular anime series. Both were originally launched in the 1970s. In Europe, the manga captured hearts across Europe from 1978, the same year as the first release of the Seastar, PRX original model. This timepiece features a 40mm 316L stainless steel case and the blue dial, inspired by the blue of Grendizer itself, glows with a yellow Super-LumiNova® bust of the robot hero, complemented by a Harken-style second hand and a uniquely engraved rotor, which will for sure evoke nostalgia for any true fan. In the upper flange, there is a text in Japanese that reads "UFO ロボ グレンダイザー", the original title for Grendizer. This detail underscores the authenticity of the collaboration between the Swiss brand and the Japanese manga. Powered by the Powermatic 80 movement, the watch offers up to 80-hours of power reserve, while the Nivachron™ balance spring ensures high precision and reliability. Protected by a sapphire crystal and equipped with a mineral glass back, this special edition offers durability, while leaving an open-window on to the different nods to the series. With a water resistance of up to 10 bar (100 metres/330 feet) and an engraved crown, it guarantees dependability in any environment. The sturdy design of the iconic 70s metal bracelet has been worked to provide utmost comfort. The watch box as well gets his own very special design, modelled after the Spazer, Grendizer's UFO. It offers a very personal touch reminiscent of the main character's legendary spaceship, and its box sleeve features Go-Nagai’s original drawings. Go Nagai stated, “It’s fascinating that UFO Robot Grendizer and the Tissot PRX both started in 70s. The blue-hued MISSION TO THE SUPER BLUE MOONPHASE has been meticulously crafted from Bioceramic and features a blue VELCRO® strap with contrasting light blue topstitching. Unlike the other models in the collection, it features a pulsometer scale on its bezel. Originally designed for doctors or nurses and mainly found on sports chronographs or counters, this function allows the wearer to easily measure their heart rate. Blancpain is delighted to present the new Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune, now fitted with an elaborately designed and patented black ceramic bracelet and a case made from the same material. With an assertive, sporty yet supremely elegant style, this model features a dial in vibrant shades of sunray-brushed blue. Available with a choice of bracelets or straps ranging from ceramic to NATO and sailcloth, the new Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune brings power, colour and dynamism to the Bathyscaphe line. The year 1953 saw the birth of the Fifty Fathoms, the first true diver’s watch, used as a real tool by professional divers at the time. Its daily-use version, the Bathyscaphe, came into the world in 1956. Designed for everyday wear while offering the opportunity to explore the seabed, this Bathyscaphe line had a different format with a reduced diameter. Now, it is reaffirming the essence of its creation with a dynamic model that combines captivating colour with ceramic. In stark contrast to the black ceramic, the dial of the new complete calendar and moon-phase model is adorned with an elegant shade of blue. Its subtle gradient combined with a sunray finish really brings the dial to life, imbuing it with a personality that changes with the light. Exuding sophistication, it adds depth while providing great luminosity that catches the eye. Just like its wearer, this watch has a personality of its own, intensified by the striking contrast between the dial and the black ceramic case and bracelet, which also reflect the light with their own extraordinary finishes. The Manufacture’s emblematic moon-phase complication finds its place on this new timepiece, which is powered by the calibre 6654.P. Reintroduced by Blancpain in 1983 in the wake of the quartz crisis, this complication enabled the brand to demonstrate that a mechanical timepiece was the product of extraordinary expertise and that quartz could never replace a complex mechanical watchmaking creation. It thus came to symbolise the revival of mechanical watchmaking. Blancpain’s immediately recognisable moon phase is found on the calibre 6654.P, which not only has a 72-hour power reserve (thanks to its two barrels), but also a secure movement, enabling the wearer to adjust the calendar indications at any time of day without damaging it. Adorned with traditional Fine Watchmaking decorations, such as bevelling, circular graining and snailing, this calibre is visible through a sapphire crystal case back and incorporates a silicon balance-spring, making it impervious to magnetism. Montres Breguet expands its iconic Marine collection with new gem set models. These resolutely contemporary watches inspire a desire for the open seas. MARINE 9518 Two new timepieces join the Marine collection. While one is graced with a sunburst blue dial recalling the sea, the second comes with a silver-toned dial hinting at foam dancing on the rocks. As if to evoke sunshine sparkling on water, eight diamonds take the place of certain hour-markers on each dial, while the bezel is decked out with 50 diamonds. This model features several of Breguet’s notable aesthetic attributes. Firstly, the facetted gold hour and minute hands, which are luminescent and display the famous eccentric open-tipped style. In a reference to maritime signals, the tip of the seconds hand signifies the letter “B” for “Bravo” in navigation codes. At 3 o’clock, the crown guard is distinguished by the wave shape characteristic of the Marine line. The profile (caseband) of each model bears the fluted motif featured on the majority of Breguet watch cases. Abraham-Louis Breguet's love of functional and elegant watchmaking led him to adorn the caseband of most of his watches with guilloché and fluted patterns. This signature style gives a more refined appearance, while also making it less likely to slip from its owner's hands, has been faithfully preserved by the Manufacture. MARINE CHRONOGRAPH 5529 These models enrich the range of chronographs in the Marine Collection and pick up a number of Breguet’s cherished aesthetic codes. Crafted in white or rose gold, these sporty new versions feature a deep blue dial embellished with wave motifs, hand-guilloché within the Manufacture. The abyss blue of the dial is lit up by the sparkle of eight baguette-cut diamonds dotted around the chapter ring. This radiant effect is further enhanced by luminescent hands and Roman numerals. Three 30-minute, 12-hour and 60-second chronograph counters appear at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock respectively. Introducing MISSION TO THE MOONPHASE – NEW MOON, an all-black model celebrating the new moon. Featuring all the distinctive characteristics of OMEGA’s Speedmaster Moonwatch, this new chronograph stands out with its unique moon phase function which is adorned with Snoopy, NASA’s safety ambassador since the 1960s. Under ultraviolet light, a hidden quote from a Snoopy comic strip comes to life on the moon phase mask against a backdrop of crescent moons and stars.
