Bence Hatsagi and Gustav Bergquist from Scibreak at the HYPERRIDE consortium meeting in Prague.
👉 From April 3-4 the HYPERRIDE Consortium met for their General Assembly Meeting in Prague. Thank you to Eaton European Innovation Center (EEIC) at Roztoky, Czech Republic for hosting us! #StefanCostea #SergioOrlando #GerhardJambrich #HYPERRIDE #PROJECT #H2020 #EU
Great News! This will allow for accelerating the market introduction of #hvdc switching stations.
Accelerating the energy transition: Mitsubishi Electric and Siemens Energy sign Joint Development Agreement for #HVDC DC Switching Stations Within just three months of the joint MOU signed in November* , the parties have formalised their plans to develop DC Switching Stations together. The ground-breaking collaboration is expected to drive multi-terminal HVDC solutions, helping to facilitate increased integration of renewable energy generation and transmission system security. Both companies will continue to manufacture, sell, and service HVDC and DC switching solutions independently. *URL regarding the joint MOU https://lnkd.in/gWE9D5XA #MitsubishiElectric #SiemensEnergy #HVDC

From Scibreak we are happy to take part in the InterOPERA EU 3rd general assembly. This project is crucial for the deployment of multi-vendor HVDC grids. Nice to meet everybody in person after so many online meetings. #hvdc #interoperability #energytransition #multivendor
📣 #thisweek - The 2nd General Assembly of InterOPERA It was a real pleasure to have all the InterOPERA project partners reunited for The 2nd General Assembly, hosted by the Groningen Centre of Energy Law and Sustainability (GCELS)! On 22-24 January our #HVDC experts met in Groningen, one of the main hubs of the energy transition. They showcased the latest updates from all the work packages and upcoming deliverables of Work Package 2 (Requirements and Assessment of Interoperability for Multi-Vendor Multi-Terminal #HVDC Systems): 1️⃣ Grid forming functional requirements; 2️⃣ The report on lab demonstration of the multi-terminal multi-vendor HVDC system and investigation of the interaction studies. Furthermore, the experts shared the latest updates and progress on the multi-party cooperation framework. These crucial guidelines will drive cooperation in future multi-vendor HVDC projects. A preliminary version of these guidelines will be out soon! Stay tuned, follow us and subscribe to our newsletter! 👉 https://bit.ly/3R2EGt5 Project partners: 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, Amprion GmbH, Energinet, Equinor, GE Renewable Energy, Hitachi Energy, Ørsted, Réseau de Transport d'Électricité, University of Groningen, Scibreak, Siemens Energy, Siemens Gamesa, Statnett SF, SuperGrid Institute, T&D Europe , TenneT, Terna SpA, Delft University of Technology, Vattenfall, Vestas, WindEurope

This is the type of collaboration needed for the deployment of #HVDC grids to finally take off. Excellent news!
Global challenges, such as climate change, require global collaboration. Decarbonisation of our economy will require large-scale installation and integration of renewable energy at an unprecedented rate. To help facilitate and accelerate this transition, Mitsubishi Electric and Siemens Energy have signed an MoU to jointly develop concepts for HVDC Switching Stations. The expansion of offshore wind in the North Sea within Europe is seen as critical to achieve climate goals. Large-scale HVDC transmission systems will be required to bring power onshore, as well as tightly coupling regions to balance supply and demand. Multi-terminal HVDC grids are the next evolution but will require new protection systems and interoperability of technologies from multiple vendors. Through this collaboration the deployment of the first 525 kV class DC Circuit Breaker systems, enabling large-scale multi-terminal grids, is expected to be accelerated. Both companies will continue to manufacture, sell, and service HVDC and DC switching solutions independently. #energytransition #innovation #DCgrids #HVDC Siemens Energy Accont: https://lnkd.in/dEBBQrhx
Scibreak participated in the Hyperride General Assembly meeting and laboratory demonstration in Aachen. In the coming months, we will deliver our MVDC circuit breakers and integrate them into the RWTH Aachen MVDC test grid. Stay tuned for glimpses of the commissioning test procedure and results.
👉 Two successful days in Aachen for Hyperride 👈 HYPERRIDE project held its 3rd General Assembly from Sept. 26-27, 2023 at the Institute for Power Generation and Storage Systems (PGS) of the RWTH Aachen University. A successful live presentation of the hybrid MV-LV AC/DC grid operation developed at the German Demo Site and a guided tour through the new CARL Lab Infrastructure (Center for Center for Ageing, Reliability and Lifetime Prediction of Electrochemical and Power Electronic Systems) were the highlights of the meeting!
