NewCold teams across the globe surpassed our STeptember target of 75 million steps – walking a combined 98,678,615 steps. That’s 31% more than we hoped to achieve.  The annual global walking challenge aims to raise funds to help Oxfam Novib reduce levels of inequality. Due to the impressive feet of our team members, NewCold and its Davanti subsidiary contributed Euro 5000 to Oxfam Novib. Team members were also encouraged to make personal donations to Oxfam Novib via a GoFundMe. NewCold broke ground today on the largest and most innovative temperature-controlled warehouse in the center-south of Italy. The Euro 70 million investment will create between 150 and 200 new jobs and be connected to the Froneri factory in Ferentino for efficient and sustainable operations. This innovative solution, a first in the Italian market, will provide significant environmental benefits, support Froneri’s business growth, and strengthen the partnership between the two companies. The facility will begin operating in 2026. Bram Hage, NewCold Founder and CEO, said: “We are proud to integrate this facility into our Italian network. The Ferentino warehouse will set new standards in terms of automation and sustainability, strengthening Italy's role in Europe’s food supply chain." NewCold's new home in Breda is nearing completion.  The new space is designed to support the company’s rapid growth. Bram Hage, NewCold Founder and CEO said: “Our people are central to NewCold’s success, and this new space is more than just a building; it’s a hub for innovation and operational excellence. Ensuring we continue to provide the best support and solutions for our customers.” The aptly named Global Innovation and Support Center features   expanded meeting capacity, sustainable design, and amenities to foster collaboration. NewCold has doubled its capacity in Kutno, Poland, with the completion of a major warehouse expansion. The facility now has a capacity of over 112,000 pallet positions. “We are excited to further contribute to Poland’s status as a major European food logistics hub with this strategic expansion. Our global network will help Polish food producers access new markets in Central Europe and beyond,” said Bram Hage, NewCold Founder and CEO. September kicks off a month of action and purpose at NewCold. It marks the start of “STeptember,” our annual global walking challenge dedicated to raising funds for Oxfam Novib and improving equality in the global food system. Throughout the month, NewCold team members will vie to achieve the greatest number of steps, culminating in a charitable contribution determined by the total number of steps completed. Last year we saw 300 participants come together and reach the goal of 70 million total steps. This year we’re turning up the challenge and increasing the target to 75 million steps.
