Om oss

Intellego Technologies is a rapidly growingly Swedish research and development company. Intellego’s main goal is to develop its patented dosimeter technology, which can indicate when radiation or substances are present. The dosimeter technology involves a photochromic ink which changes colour when exposed to a certain level of radiation or certain substances. The application areas are widespread, and Intellego is today working with products for use in the consumer, hospital and construction industries. In addition, Intellego has several development projects for other applications in its pipeline. Intellego’s products are sold in 15 countries world wide.

In our battle against HAIs, UV light has emerged as a powerful ally. But how much UV exposure is enough to ensure safety? 🤔 Key takeaways from our latest blog: 1. UV-C light (200-280 nm) disrupts microbial DNA, preventing reproduction and infection. 2. Effective disinfection depends on UV dosage: Intensity x Exposure Time. 3. Different bacteria require varying UV doses: 🦠 E. coli: 6.6 mJ/cm² for 99.99% reduction 🦠 Staphylococcus aureus: 6.6 mJ/cm² 🦠 Pseudomonas aeruginosa: 10.5 mJ/cm² As global health challenges persist, UV disinfection's role continues to grow. 🤔 Myth: LED Spot-Lamp Systems Can Replace Arc Lamps Without Adjustment ✅ Fact: Contrary to popular belief, replacing arc lamp spot-curing systems with LED spot-curing systems is not a simple plug-and-play process. In reality, this transition often requires careful evaluation and process adjustments to ensure optimal performance. #LEDSpotLamps #ArcLampReplacement #UVCuring #ManufacturingMyths Sources: https://lnkd.in/dCfnYtjE https://lnkd.in/dFq3DYiB

💡 UVC has many different applications when it comes to keeping you safe : 💨 Air Disinfection Upper-Room UVGI: In this application, the UVC lamps are installed along the walls or the ceiling to keep the rays within the room's upper region. Proper vertical movement—primarily from ceiling fans or HVAC systems—is essential for effective air disinfection. In-Duct UVGI: UVC lamps are placed within the HVAC duct to disinfect the air moving inside the system. This form of mounting is particularly considered effective due to UVC high-intensity radiation in ducts, with the exposure not being a concern for the people in the space. 🚰 Water Disinfection One of the more sophisticated uses of UVGI is water disinfection. UVC is useful in waterborne pathogen inactivation; hence, it is a reliable method to ensure safe drinking water. The process is not only highly efficient but also environmentally friendly, as it eliminates the need for harsh chemicals often used in traditional water treatment methods. UVC disinfection leaves no residual taste or odor, preserving the water's natural qualities while guaranteeing its safety. From municipal water treatment plants to portable water purification devices used in remote areas, UVGI technology is revolutionizing our approach to clean water, making it a cornerstone of public health initiatives worldwide.  💺 Surface Disinfection UVC is used across various industries as a surface disinfectant; however, its effectiveness can be diminished by shadows. This is why it's crucial to ensure adequate planning, strategic placement of UVC sources, and consideration of surface geometry. Portable UVC devices are commercially available for sanitizing items such as phones and medical tools. However, some consumer UVC sanitizers are typically far less effective in comparison to industrial units. While some studies have shown that UVC rays can eliminate nearly 99.9% of microbes on phones after one minute of exposure, the reported levels of germicidal efficacy may not necessarily be achieved in real-world settings due to several factors, such as a lack of standardization and the need for pre-cleaning. #UVC #AirDisinfection #WaterPurification #SurfaceSanitization #UVGISystems Sources: https://lnkd.in/eK6MZY9x https://lnkd.in/ga4it36 https://lnkd.in/eAhdrz3H https://lnkd.in/eBkHFD5C https://lnkd.in/e69kcpN https://lnkd.in/eHsfqzbp https://lnkd.in/eq9BPpH6 https://lnkd.in/eKsatrJD https://lnkd.in/ezEParbh https://lnkd.in/eBsc2zgr https://lnkd.in/ga4it36

🤔 Myth: UV Curing Provides an Instant Cure ✅ Fact: While UV curing is much faster than traditional curing methods, it does not always provide an "instant" cure. The speed of curing depends on the specific formulation of the material and the intensity and duration of UV exposure. Some formulations may require post-curing or additional exposure to achieve full mechanical properties. UV curing technology has gained traction in various industries due to its efficiency and environmental benefits. However, several myths and misconceptions about UV curing still persist. This month, we will be debunking some common myths to help you better understand UV curing. 🤔 Myth: UV-curing materials are Dangerous ✅ Fact: UV curing materials are generally much less toxic than their solvent-borne counterparts. These materials exhibit low systemic toxicity, emit little to no volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and are not classified as mutagens or carcinogens. Proper industrial hygiene practices, safe handling procedures, and worker training are essential for safe use. "It is only a piece of card with ink on it, how advanced can it be?" We often receive questions about the quality of Intellegos products, with some perceiving them as merely "simple printed plastic cards with ink on them." However, the reality is that there's much more happening behind the scenes in the production of Intellegos technology. This was recently demonstrated during an audit with a leading global company, which distributes products to over 150 countries. The audit, part of an extensive due diligence process, included a comprehensive questionnaire with approximately 460 questions about our various quality procedures and certifications related to our dosimeters and their production. Pictured are our CEO, Claes Lindahl, and Site Manager Charlie Möllbrink alongside two auditors at the production facility. At Intellego, we take pride in the authenticity and quality of our dosimeters and are pleased that others also recognize this. #QualityFirst #dosimetry #GlobalStandards #Audit #UVtechnology

Can UV curable adhesives be activated by any UV light source?🤔 Wavelength Requirements: The effectiveness of UV curing depends on the wavelength of the UV light. Some adhesives require specific wavelengths for optimal curing. Light Intensity: Weaker UV light sources may require longer exposure times. Powerful curing lights can significantly reduce curing times. However, it always depends on the material. Some materials cannot withstand high intensities, so it may also be a requirement of each particular process and some adhesives or coatings may require a threshold intensity. #UVAdhesiveCuring #UVLightWavelength #OptimalCuring #UVtechnology
