Lund Innovation District is a natural hub for knowledge and creativity in the Öresund region. Collaboration between universities, businesses, and the public sector creates an environment that attracts international talent and fosters the emergence of new innovative companies. On the tech side, we've got among others Axis Communications, now a global company headquartered in Lund. In the surrounding area, there are also Alfa Laval and Tetra Pak, which collaborate with MAX IV Laboratory and other companies. Ideon Science Park has been contracted by Swedish Energy Agency as one of the actors that will help promote and accelerate the commercialization of energy innovations. The agency’s mission is to lead the Swedish society's transition to a sustainable energy system, and we will support it. The agency works for a sustainable energy system that is secure, competitive and has a low negative impact on health, the environment, and climate. <<Ideon at Almedalen >> We are part of the consortia Swedish Secure Tech Hub with five other science parks. Our job is to support SMEs in strengthening their cybersecurity awareness and readiness. We surveyed 370 tech companies. The results were presented at Almedalen, and reveal that far from everyone is ready to protect their IP.
