Following a planet-first diet of mostly fruits, vegetables and whole grains cuts risk of early death by nearly a third. As an added bonus, it also reduce greenhouse gas emissions devastating the planet. This is shown in a new large study. Researchers at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in the US dug into the dietary habits of over 200,000 women and men for more than 30 years. They compared these eating patterns to the guidelines set by the Eat-Lancet study, also known as the Planetary Health Diet. The results are striking. Participants who adhered to the most climate-friendly diets not only lived longer than others, but also had a 28% lower risk of dying from dementia, a 14% lower risk of dying from cardiovascular disease, a 10% lower risk of dying from cancer, and a 47% lower risk of dying from lung disease. Isn't that a powerful reminder of the deep connection between our own well-being and the health of our planet? Looks like there's a lot to be gained from adding more colorful fruits and veggies to our plates!

What a view! Our solar installation is finally coming together at Greenhouse, our cutting-edge food and logistics facility in Helsingborg. Spanning 17,800 square meters and equipped with 3.8 MW solar panels, this is actually one of the largest solar farms in Sweden! The production is expected to start later this summer, and once operational, it will cover about 20 percent of the Greenfood Group's electricity needs – while reducing CO2e emissions by a whopping 150 tons of CO2e per year. ☀️

WRAPS UP THE COMPETITION. Picadeli's food-to-go has taken Finland by storm! 🇫🇮 Our own salad pioneer Picadeli has quickly become a favorite among Finnish consumers since its launch in May 2023. With a range of wraps, ready-made salads, and sandwiches, Picadeli has seen a massive surge in sales: from a few hundred units per week to nearly 25,000 wraps, 10,000 sandwiches, and 3,000 ready-made salads per week. Today, Picadeli is the market leader in the wrap category, with the range available at over 1,500 locations across Finland. Kiitos, Suomi!

We're proud to present our partnership with Skåne Stadsmission, a fantastic non-profit organization dedicated to helping vulnerable and marginalized individuals in southern Sweden. Last year, we provided over 100 tonnes of fresh produce to their social stores, Matmissionen. An initiative that goes beyond combating food waste (though that's a major win!) – it's about making healthy food accessible to everyone. The partnership has proved so valuable that it is now expanding into a national initiative, and where possible, the program is being extended to more locations. Our goal? To match last year's donation and keep the momentum going. Because everyone deserves access to affordable and delicious fruits and veggies, regardless of income or background. ✊ 💚
