EuroPython 2024 Prague & Remote - join the largest Python conference in Europe; community-run since 2002
Om oss
For over 20 years, Python, renowned for its simplicity, reliability and flexibility, has become a leading programming language both in the industry and in research. And what better place than EuroPython to keep your finger on the pulse of anything Python related? EuroPython was the first major Python community conference ever organised by volunteers. It started in 2002 in Charleroi, Belgium. It has become the largest European Python conference, and one of the largest world-wide. With around 1200 participants every year, EuroPython is a hub for all programmers, students and companies interested in the Python programming language.

🚨 Attention #Edinburgh Companies🚨 The Python Meetup is looking for a spot to return from their hiatus. If you know someone who can help, please reach out. Our local communities need support! Spread the word. Let's help! #Python #meetup #support #localcommunities
📢🏴 I'm looking for a monthly venue for #Python #Edinburgh! 📢🏴 We've been mostly on hiatus since before COVID, and I'd like to fix that. I'm looking for an organisation that can host 40-50 people in a room with a projector. If you have an amazing office in Edinburgh, and would like to promote yourself to the Python developer community, then this is your chance! I'm also looking for sponsors for food and drink. In the past, this has worked out at around £400 total. I'd like to find multiple sponsors to share the load, mainly to ensure some stability for the future. These are both considered forms of sponsorship, and will involve a shout-out at the start of each of our meetups, and the opportunity for someone from your organisation to promote yourselves to our group. https://lnkd.in/da-HUPT

Just arrived back in Hamburg from EuroPython 2024 in Prague! I had the great pleasure of volunteering for an entire seven days st this years iteration, including two days of tutorials, three days of talks and two days of public sprints to support #opensource projects. Between great tutorials, amazing talks and productive sprints there also was some time to catch a breath, discover Prague, and have some fun! I want to send a huge thanks out to all those, who made this conference so memorable. Especially the organisers, fellow volunteers and speakers, but also all other attendees made this first Europython a very memorable experience for me and everyone else involved. To the friends we made along the way! Hope to see you all soon! (In no particular order, thank you: Tymon Masiarek, Laís Carvalho, Jakub Červinka, Barbora Hůlová, Aris Nivorlis, Anezka Muller, George Zisopoulos, George Margaritis, Panagiotis Kyrillos, Piotr Gnus, Mia Bajić, Jodie Burchell, PhD, Theofanis Petkos, Sofia C., Moisés Guimarães de Medeiros, Martin Borus, Sangarshanan Veera, Sebastiaan Zeeff, Rodrigo Girão Serrão, Jakub Balas, Ege Akman, shekhar koirala and many many many others!) (The string Art in the first picture was made by Yair Galler and presented during his amazing talk „I reverse engineered a work of art, and this is what I learned“, which I was lucky enough to be the session chair for!)

I am not ready to organise my feelings about EuroPython in a sensical way just yet. But if you want to understand how was to volunteer for the event, check out Jakub 's post 💜 You get a gold star 🌟 if you manage not to get emotional by reading it. Spoiler alert: I couldn't manage.
