We are excited to announce our largest investment round ever, through investments from existing owners Chalmers Ventures, Marinvest Holding AB, Vätterleden Holding Ventures and Erik Stromqvist, as well as new investors such as Triathlon Group Ventures, Life Science Invest (LSI Epsilon), and Ekeblad Bostad AB. - Our technology allows our customers to develop and manufacture astatine-based radiopharmaceuticals that act like microscopic guided missiles, says Milton Lönnroth, co-founder and CEO of Atley Solutions. Inside the patient's body, the pharmaceuticals can seek out and kill cancer cells without significantly affecting healthy cells and tissues. No one wants to destroy what is healthy, and an important feature of these drugs, besides their great potential for greater clinical efficacy, is that they contribute to a less toxic treatment with fewer side effects compared to current treatment methods. - We are pleased to make a follow-up investment in Atley while also bringing in new investors in this round, says Jonas Bergman, Investment Director at Chalmers Ventures. Also, thank you to jean-francois GESTIN, Ethan Balkin, and Kohshin Washiyama from the World Astatine Community for organising the Joint Industry Symposium on #astatine211. The symposium was a great opportunity to showcase the significant advancements that are being made by industry in #targetedalphatherapy with Astatine-211. Industry Presentations: - 🏭 Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. presented the company's plan to bring a new and updated multi-particle 30MeV cyclotron to the market, with a first installation planned at Osaka University. This unit will primarily be used to supply At-211 for R&D and clinical development projects in Japan. - 🏭 David Eve presented the work being done by Ionetix to set up the first commercial supply of At-211 in the US, based on their new alpha isotope production facility in Lansing, Michigan. - 🏭 Gregory Moffitt gave an update on Nusano's new linear accelerator which will be installed in Salt Lake City, Utah, and which promises to have a significant production capacity for At-211. - 🏭 Standing in for Yutian Feng and michael zalutsky, Kohshin Washiyama gave an update on Alpha Nuclide (Ningbo) Medical Technology Ltd.'s work to set up the first commercial radiopharmaceutical CDMO facility in China, focused on At-211. This effort includes the installation of the world's first TR-ALPHA cyclotron from Advanced Cyclotron Systems Inc. - 💡Toshiba presented their thoughts on At-211 production and radiopharmaceutical delivery systems - ⛓ 💉Andreas Ingemann Jensen, PhD Pharm discussed TetraKit Technologies' innovative #clickchemistry radiolabeling platform for halogens such as At-211 and their most recent results related to the development of novel At-211 radiopharmaceuticals. - 💉 Sunao Fujioka presented the ongoing and planned clinical development work performed by Alpha Fusion including NaAt for #thyroidcancer and At-PSMA for #prostatecancer - 🔥 And of course, Atley CEO Milton Lönnroth presented Atley's At-211 offering which includes standardised Bi-209 targets for At-211 production, At-211 radiopharmaceutical production equipment (Atley #C100), and our At-211 radiopharmaceutical development services. We are proud and excited to announce that our unique production module C100 for purification and synthesis of Astatine-211 (At-211) based radiopharmaceuticals has been succesfully installed at our customer and partner Minerva Imaging Imaging in Ølstykke, Denmark.
