Marineo (Sicilian: Marineu) is a comune (municipality) in the Province o Palermo in the Italian region Sicily, locatit aboot 20 kilometre (12 mi) sooth o Palermo. As o 31 Dizember 2004, it haed a population o 6,885 an a aurie o 33.3 square kilometre (12.9 sq mi).[1]
Marineo borders the follaein municipalities: Bolognetta, Cefalà Diana, Godrano, Mezzojuso, Misilmeri, Monreale, Santa Cristina Gela, Villafrati.
The toun o Marineo lees in the Eleuterio river valley, at the fuit o a rock, juist ootside the Ficuzza firth.
