The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) announces season two of the Women’s Football Clubs Development Fund Program, continuing its commitment to nurturing and promoting women’s football across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For the 2024-25 season, the total support fund has increased to SAR 60 million (USD 16 million) , representing a SAR 10 million (USD 2.7million) rise allocated in the previous season, reflecting SAFF’s dedication to further developing women’s football. Building on the success of the inaugural season, this season’s program will extend its support to 70 clubs participating in various competitions, including the SAFF Women's Premier League, SAFF Women's First Division League, SAFF Women's Second Division League, SAFF Women's Cup, SAFF Women’s U-17 Tournament, and the Women’s Futsal Tournament.

During the Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s two-day workshop in Kuala Lumpur, Farkhad Abdullaev, Director of SAFF Referees Department, gave a presentation to 45 attendees from Asian Members Association, highlighting SAFF's commitment to leading in the application of technologies like VAR to assist referees. The workshop also featured presentations from the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), Japan Football Association and the Tajikistan Football Federation on innovative approaches to VAR implementation, talent identification, and maximising match officials' potential. The attendees also practised knowledge-sharing exercises where they discussed challenges, future priorities, and refereeing activities in their organisations. The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) is proud to launch the first edition of the Regional Teams Under-13 Championship in #Taif, running from July 18 to 30. Over the next 12 days, 14 regional teams will compete, featuring top talents from academies across 14 cities, provinces, and regions. This tournament is a significant part of SAFF's strategy to scout and develop over 4,000 young talents by 2025, supporting the growth and future of Saudi football. 🔊Nasser LARGUET / SAFF’s Technical Director: “The championship represents the result of the significant work supported by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, and the outcome is the creation of the Regional Under-13 League. The official draw for the inaugural 2024/25 AFC Women’s Champions League season just revealed the preliminary rounds of the new tournament, with #SaudiArabia set to host matches in the competition for the first time. This marks a historic moment as the country prepares to welcome Myawady Women FC (#Myanmar), Young Elephants FC from (#Laos) and Abu Dhabi Country Club (#UnitedArabEmirates), showcasing its capability to host the highest level of women’s club competition in #Asia. This landmark event, organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), will see back-to-back title winners of the Saudi Women’s Premiere League, نادي النصر السعودي - ALNASSR Saudi Club representing the Kingdom for the first time, aiming to secure a spot in the Group Stage round. From August 25-31, domestic champions from 21 AFC member associations will compete in the preliminary stage. Thirteen teams will battle across four groups, with the winners advancing to join eight top-seeded clubs in the group stage.

Today, the second phase of the Asian Training Licence (B) concluded. Across 8 days and 17 speakers, 117 coaches took part in the programme in #Riyadh, #Jeddah, #Dammam, #AlAhsa and #Jazan. This initiative is part of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF)´s ongoing mission to support the development of coaches and the next generation of talent within the Kingdom. The third phase will resume October 13.

The Beach Soccer Classification League concluded last week with Heraa Club being crowned as winners at the Royal Commission Stadium in #Yanbu city, in a thrilling final that saw them win (6-2) against Ettifaq Club - نادي الاتفاق. Featuring 8 teams, the 10 day competition served as preparation for the newly created Beach Soccer Premier League, set to debut in coming season in 2024-25. Saudi Arabia’s Beach Soccer Premier League features as part of SAFF's initiatives to grow the global game across all levels, from grassroots to the beaches to professional game, with the federation working to continue developing the beach soccer national team. Led by head coach Stella Gotal, the group of 25 players called up to the U-17 National Women's team recently completed their latest training camp in Jordan’s capital, Amman. The two-week camp featured international friendlies with Lebanon and Jordan, allowing our players to gain significant match experience while continuing to develop their tactical skills. The U-17 Women's National Team’s ongoing camps have been fundamental to the rapid development of our younger talents. As part of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF)’s ongoing efforts with the Zaatari camp in Jordan, the federation recently concluded its fifth program in partnership with the KSrelief and the West Asian Football Federation, providing over 600 players with the opportunity to play the world's game. The series of projects supported the players through a series of competitions and training courses to inspire next generation into football, with SAFF organising tournaments for the U11 boys, U15 boys and girls and over 50s players in the camp featuring Syrian refugees. During the week, the referees training course saw 27 individuals achieve their SAFF D-level coaching license to support the development of the national refereing infrastructure in Jordan. The initiative, coupled with the youth tournaments, featured as part of SAFF's ongoing programs across the region to support the growth of the global game in new markets.
