Today is the closing of our two weeks series surrounding #TPV reinforced coolant #hose for #BEV. During trials, this last group gets to see several runs for constructions exhibiting different Shore hardness values. Each attendee walks away with samples and a bit more insight on the specific manufacturing conditions, thanks to the rich exchange between the panel of partners. The high amount of electrical energy stored in the batteries is imposing constraints for coolant liquid. Arteco NV coolants joins as partner of our event, and is highlighting constraints on coolant fluid and on the #hose material in relation to electrical conductivity.   China, for example, has released clear rules on the maximum conductivity of the coolant system of #BEV in order to drastically reduce the risks of short circuit and fire when a car accident happens. Fuel cell vehicles have even higher constraints where the coolant system require zero conductivity.   MAILLEFER, together with a panel composed of a #TPV supplier, a reinforced yarns producer, a connector manufacturer, and a coolant provider are welcoming leading automotive hose makers with an all encompassing insight into developing coolant systems for BEV.

Hurray! We have reached the end of week 1 of our TPV coolant hose series co-hosted by Maillefer and Teknor Apex. Sustainability is at the core of the #automotive industry. International regulations, like those put forth by the European Union, impose strict regulations in reduction of carbon footprint and use of recycled materials for the construction of vehicules. Mailefer's seminar aims to highlight the different cooling hose constructions system where #extrusion of recycled material is possible. In terms of our materials partner for this event, Teknor Apex Company, presents their Sarlink #TPV solutions with Post Consummer Recycled material content. In parallel, partners Hailide Fibers Europe A/S a yarn producer, and HENN Connector Group, a manufacturer of #hose connector systems, presented their specific solutions for cooling in Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV). The synergies and know-how combine again in Switzerland next week together with leading hose manufacturers having one goal in mind - providing complete cooling systems with reduced carbon footprint to manufacturers of #BEV.
