For the sixth year in a row, MOL Serbia and the Road Traffic Safety Agency continue the project "A game is for children, a child's life is not a game". This year project is upgraded and a series of free of charge educational trainings for proper usage of children’s car seats will be held during the whole summer at 20 Mol service stations all over the Serbia. At the media conference dedicated to the start of this year’s project, Head of Retail Biljana Malisic Jut said „In accordance with our "SHAPE TOMORROW" strategy, our goal is to make the region greener, more self-sustaining and more competitive, but we are still focused on the safety of traffic and passengers, especially the youngest ones. We think that education is the most important in preventive action to avoid potential accidents, because only properly installed car seats in the vehicle, will be guarantee for the child protection. We handed over the €1.3 billion polyol complex in Tiszaújváros, MOL Group's largest organic investment, which will produce around 200,000 tonnes of polyol per year. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán of Hungary and Zsolt Hernádi, Chairman and CEO of MOL, and Ilse Henne, Board member of thyssenkrupp inaugurated the facility. The complex will produce polyol using one of the most efficient and environmentally friendly methods available today. Polyols serve as raw material for durable plastic consumer goods such as bed mattresses, moulded car seats, insulation for houses and the elastic soles of sports shoes, among others. MOL Petrochemicals Co. Ltd. (member of MOL Group) in Tiszaújváros is the only company in Hungary, and Central and Eastern Europe that controls the entire value chain from petroleum processing to the production of polyols. With a production of 500 tonnes of polyols per day, MOL could become the fifth largest player in the European plastics market, making a significant contribution to the industrial competitiveness of the region.

MOL Group has reached another milestone: we handed over a 10 megawatt capacity green hydrogen plant in Százhalombatta which is the largest in Central and Eastern Europe. It can now produce green hydrogen without producing any greenhouse gases. The €22 million investment makes fuel production more sustainable: the plant will reduce the Danube Refinery's carbon dioxide emissions by 25 000 tons. It is like taking roughly 5,500 vehicles off the road overnight. MOL will be able to produce 1,600 tons of clean, carbon-neutral green hydrogen per year which opens a new chapter in hydrogen economy. The investment is in line with the MOL Group's SHAPE TOMORROW corporate strategy to make the region more sustainable, competitive, and self-sufficient. After Százhalombatta, we will take the technology to the other two fuel production units of the group to make the fuel production process more sustainable at each of MOL Group's refineries.
