We are honored that newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Serbia, His Excellency Ahmed Hatem Almenhali, has visited EPE headquarters in Belgrade. The high-level delegation was greeted by EPE Director, Mr. Mladen Simovic and Sanja Petrovic. His Excellency has showed genuine interest in EPE activities both in Serbia and the UAE, as well as in the rest of the Middle East. Ambasador Almenhali pointed out that business and culture shall be his main focus during his diplomatic mission in Serbia and that he hopes business relations between the companies from Serbia and UAE will only grow in the future. It goes without saying that decision of Ambassador Almenhali to pay a visit to EPE so early in his tenure shows the high standing of our company in the business world, making us proud to be recognized for our achievements. With EPE office in Abu Dhabi running since 2002 and the one in Dubai since 2003, we can certainly say that high expectations of UAE clients have been to our benefit: they led us to grow, improve ourselves and be more competitive on the market. The past 20 years have also showed us that there is a broad spectrum of cooperation opportunities and endless ways of contributing to further development of both countries. With deep understanding of both Serbian and UAE market, EPE is ready to continuously support this process.

EPE Serbia was present at the Intersolar Europe 2024, the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry, held from 19 to 21st of June in Munich, Germany. As indicated by the organizers, a stunning 407 GW of new solar capacities was deployed last year alone. PV is growing not only in terms of quantity, but also in quality. Together with improvements in solar power solutions, digitalized, flexible and responsive grids and markets shall be needed to meet demands of the future. Finding out details about the latest developments in solar technologies, products, and technical solutions, including energy storage and smart grids as a key to improving energy efficiency and sustainability of solar systems, has been of great interest to our delegates Slaven Jerković and Ivan Marijanović. With information and business connections collected during the exhibition and shared with the rest of the EPE community, the company remains committed to continuous improvement and innovation, as the only way for making an enduring impact in today’s rapidly changing world.

After more than 35 years of continuous business operations in the Middle East and offices running in Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Muscat and Manama, EPE is expending its business and is opening new office in Dammam, KSA!   We are optimistic that this new addition will aid EPE community to further showcase its capabilities, strength, and ambition with respect to participation on prestigious infrastructure projects in the Middle East.   Saudi Arabia has long been a dream of ours. We are happy that it is finally happening!

Za EPE u Beogradu jun svake godine obeležen je događajem Energy Day Serbia, pa jučerašnji dan nije bio izuzetak. Ovogodišnji skup organizovan je pod sloganom Nedelje održive energije u Evropi:"Energetska rešenja nulte emisije ugljenika za konkurentnu Evropu".   Veliko hvala našem moderatoru Dragoslava Stojiljkovic sa Faculty of Mechanical Engineering University of Belgrade, kao i panelistima Ljubi Maćiću iz Ministarstvo rudarstva i energetike, Gligo Vuković iz Delegacije EU u Republici Srbiji, Prof. dr Slobodanu Vukosaviću iz Srpske akademije nauka i umetnosti i Mladenu Simoviću, direktoru EPE, na sagledavanjima o budućnosti sektora energetike u Srbiji i odgovorima na pitanje da li je smo na pravom putu ka održivoj budućnosti. Na momente suprotstavljena, ali autentična mišljenja dala su prisutnima nove teme za razmišljanje.   Hvala Goran Vukojevic na odličnom vođenju panela koji se ticao stabilnosti i fleksibilnosti elektroenergetskog sistema na kom su panelisti Vojislav Simovic iz Elektromreža Srbije a.d. (Joint Stock Company Elektromreža Srbije), Marko Janković iz CWP Global, Milica Knežević iz KfW i Jasna Grujic iz EPE diskutovali o izazovima i trenutnom stanju po pitanju priključenja novih obnovljivih postrojenja na prenosnu mrežu, baterijskim skladištima kao jednoj od opcija za iskorišćenje viškova proizvedene energije, kao i tržištu električne energije kao značajnom uticajnom faktoru na stabilnost i fleksibilnost energetskog sistema Srbije. Naša Sanja Petrovic bila je sjajna kao moderator ne jedne, vec dve panel sesije koje su se ticale dobrih, ali i manje dobrih iskustava iz prakse tokom realizacije energetskih projekata u Srbiji. Ispred Joint stock company "Elektroprivreda Srbije" Srbije govorio je  Dušan Živković v.d. generalnog direktora, ispred NIS a.d. Novi Sad Dušan Stanar, menadžer za strategiju i dugoročno planiranje,  ispred Elixir Group Nenad Ristic, menadžer za planiranje i ispred Nelt Group, Zoran Ilijašević, direktor NELO Energy. Sjajni učesnici, bogata iskustva i ambiciozni planovi. Panel sesija posvećena pitanjima formiranja, selekcije i regrutacije neophodnog ljudskog kapitala od kog se očekuje da sprovede ambiciozne planove transformacije aktuelne energetske prakse izdvojila se kao posebno važna, naročito imajući u vidu ugledne paneliste : Dejan Gvozdić Dekan University of Belgrade, School of Electrical Engineering, Vladimir Popovic dekan Faculty of Mechanical Engineering University of Belgrade, Rada Anđelić, Rukovodilac HR sluzbe u Energoprojekt i Miljan Mikic, PhD, osnivac i direktor platforme Orook AEC Careers.   Sjajan dan je za nama, veliku zahvalnost dugujemo i svim clanovima EPE ekipe koji su učestvovali u organizaciji ovog događaja. EDS je još jednom povezao ključne aktere na domaćoj energetskoj sceni i omogućio razmenu mišljenja na važne teme koje će obeležiti godine pred nama.

Ostalo je još samo dva dana do održavanja našeg tradicinalnog događaja Energy Day Serbia. Očekujemo interesantne i kvalitetne razgovore!

EPE was there for the 5th annual BIM conference held on 30-31 May in Belgrade under the slogan "Digital transformation for efficient construction". Our BIM Manger Vera Plavšić had a pleasure to be a part of a broader BIM community that gathered together to share experiences from digital transformation of the construction sectors. Gathering professionals from 30 countries around the world, the largest international BIM conference in the Western Balkans has once again demonstrated that BIM technology is an excellent tool for improvement of project planning, team productivity and efficient project delivery.

Pozivamo vas na tradicionalni godišnji događaj Energy Day Serbia (EDS) koji se održava u okviru Evropske nedelje održive energije (European Sustainable Energy Week).   Cilj manifestacije EDS2024 je da podstakne razgovore o razvoju sektora energetike u Republici Srbiji, ispunjavanju prihvaćenih međunarodnih obaveza, kao i da prikaže dobre primere iz prakse i projekte koji doprinose ostvarivanju usvojenih ciljeva. Ove godine razgovaraće se i o tome kako formirati i razvijati odgovarajuće kadrove od kojih se očekuje da iznesu planirane aktivnosti u energetskom sektoru i koja su očekivanja i planovi obrazovnog, ali i poslovnog sektora u pogledu kadrovski važnih pitanja. U saradnji sa Društvom termičara Srbije i pod pokroviteljstvom Srpskog komiteta Svetskog saveta za energiju, EPE i ove godine organizuje jednodnevnu manifestaciju Energy Day Serbia (EDS2024). Energy Day Serbia se održava u okviru Evropske nedelje održivog razvoja i ima za cilj da podstakne razgovore o razvoju sektora energetike u Republici Srbiji, ispunjavanju prihvaćenih međunarodnih obaveza, kao i da prikaže dobre primere iz prakse koji doprinose ostvarivanju usvojenih ciljeva. Ove godine razgovaraće se i o tome kako obezbediti odgovarajuće kadrove od kojih se očekuje da iznesu sagledane aktivnosti u energetskom sektoru i koja su očekivanja i planovi obrazovnog, ali i poslovnog sektora u pogledu kadrovski važnih pitanja. It’s been a delight to witness the first pieces of equipment of the future Wind Farm KOSTOLAC, Serbia, arrive at Site. With 20 wind turbines facilitating total capacity of 66 MW, the future Wind Farm KOSTOLAC shall be the first wind power generation facility for the Project Owner, Joint stock company "Elektroprivreda Srbije". Emotions are running high as EPE Serbia team members, providing Owner’s (FIDIC) Engineer services together with colleagues from Fichtner, Germany, mark this important step in project implementation. Much more to go, but with genuine excitement about the significance of this milestone, we are looking forward to the following months, when equipment erection and assembling are to be carried out.

Completion of Flue Gas Desulphurization Project in TPP Nikola Tesla A in Serbia has marked an important milestone for all stakeholders involved. Implemented by Joint stock company "Elektroprivreda Srbije", supported by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Tokyo Electric Power Services Co., Ltd. and carried out by Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Ltd ITOCHU Corporation, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europa (Mitsubishi Power Europe) and Mpp Jedinstvo, as the leader of the Serbian group of companies, the project will contribute to significant reduction of SOx and PM emissions and improve environmental performance of TPP Nikola Tesla A.   EPE Serbia has played an important role in this project, with consultancy services provided during development of early project documentation, supporting Tokyo Electric Power Service (TEPSCO) during project implementation and carrying out construction supervision at site. What a journey it has been!   Congratulations to all project stakeholders and EPE Serbia project team for this achievement!
