Jayme Antrim created a role-playing supplement for Tricube Tales, titled Artifacts & Adventure: Modern-Day Treasure Hunters (available on Itch). In the supplement, on page 40, he lists modern cities explorers can travel to while searching for important artifacts. The list is titled Historical City Table and contains the names of 36 prominent cities. While looking over the list, I thought it would be nice to have a descriptive paragraph for each of these cities, to avoid having to look them up one at a time while playing a solo game, or writing a story.

With that in mind, I used Gemini.Ai to create simple descriptions for each of these cities. The descriptions include a summary of the city’s history, what the city is known for, and one positive and negative trait associated with that city. This will save me a lot of time when my characters end up in one of these cities for a day or two, and if I need more information for any of them, I can always do more research.

The city descriptions can be used as they are in modern, near future and cyberpunk settings. With a little tweaking, by simply changing a few cultural and place names, the cities can be used in projects ranging from sword and sorcery to exotic space locations. I’m thinking of doing this: organizing the cities into groups of six, modifying them a little, and those will become the major cities in a fictional country / continent / space world.

Cities are numbered for 2d6 dice rolls. Simply roll a couple of dice for a random city.
