On Wednesday, November 6, Thomas Spitaels visited the construction site of Barcelona Metro Line 9, where he was briefed on the project’s progress and the technical challenges. He was accompanied by Tom Van Looy - TPF INGENIERÍA’s CEO, Enric Pujol - North East Area Director, Albert Palou Soler - Head of Supervision projects for the North East Area and Pere Palou - L9 Metro Barcelona Project Team Leader. Once completed, this driverless automated metro line will have a total length of 38 km and 39 stations. Recognized as one of the largest infrastructure projects ever undertaken in the city, the construction of this new metro line presents substantial technical complexities, especially in tunnelling, as it involves the construction of a single 12-meter-wide tunnel, large enough to hold the tracks on two different levels. The tunnel crosses areas with high groundwater levels and a great variety of ground types ranging from sandy soils in the Delta River area to hard rock, in some cases heavily fractured. Building in a densely populated urban environment with challenging topography, diverse geological conditions, and a network of numerous underground utilities significantly increases the project's complexity. As specialists in underground construction, structural monitoring and site supervision, TPF’s teams are responsible for controlling and managing the works 24 hours a day. Thomas Spitaels expressed his appreciation for the dedication of the teams deployed on the metro line, commending TPF’s role in enhancing Spain's transportation sector and promoting sustainable infrastructure. The day before, he met with the management team at TPF Ingeniería’s Madrid office to review TPF’s performance, discuss strategy, and explore future challenges. #TPFIngenieria #BarcelonaMetro #MetroProjects #TransportationInnovation #TunnellingChallenges

How is work progressing on the Romania's first highway tunnel? That’s what our colleagues discovered during the construction site visit to the Daniela and Alina tunnels on October 31st and November 1st. These two separate galleries, one for each direction of travel, measure 1,350 m and 1,342 m in length, respectively. They are being built on the fourth section of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway, between Tigveni – Curtea de Argeș. In addition to being the first highway in Romania to cross the Carpathian Mountains, this 122 km-long highway will be the shortest connection between the west and the south-east of the country. TPF INGINERIE , in association with TPF - CONSULTORES DE ENGENHARIA E ARQUITETURA, S.A., is supervising the construction of these tunnels. These impressive works are expected to be completed by 2027. A big thank you to all our teams and especially to Mr. Hădăreanu, the tunnel manager and big figure in the field of tunnel construction in Romania, with 48 years of experience. #SibiuPitestiHighway #TPFInginerie #TPFConsultores #TunnelConstruction #EngineeringRomania

Each project we undertake is individually tailored documentation to meet the specific needs of the Investor. By using the latest advanced design tools, we ensure a comprehensive verification of technical solutions, optimizing them for efficiency and accuracy. The use of 3D modeling not only enhances the precision of our documentation but also accelerates the project implementation timeline. An example of the use of this modern technology is the documentation we developed for the reconstruction of railroad line No. 24, commissioned by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. (Polish Railways). Thanks to 3D modeling, we were able to accurately represent the railroad and road infrastructure and associated elements. This allowed us to quickly detect potential collisions and eliminate problems before construction work even began. The advanced digital tools we use significantly reduce the risk of errors, improve the efficiency of design work and guarantee the highest quality and precision. Additionally, three-dimensional visualizations enhance the presentation of the final results of the investment, which is invaluable for stakeholder presentations. This approach ensures that our projects respond to the challenges of modern infrastructure and meet the highest industry standards. Today is World Cities Day! On this day, we want to highlight the vital role cities play in shaping our future and reaffirm our commitment to contributing to sustainable, inclusive, and resilience urban development. In France, for example, TPF INGENIERIE is currently working with Espace Ferroviaires on the development of the Hébert neighborhood project. Located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, the Hébert neighborhood is part of the urban renewal initiative undertaken by the City of Paris in the “Chapelle” district. The development will cover a 5.2-hectare site and will ultimately include more than 100,000 m² of housing, offices, services, and local shops, as well as a crèche and educational facilities. This new neighborhood will create 3,500 jobs and accommodate 1,500 new residents. At the heart of this development, public spaces will play a central role, featuring a 4,000 m² square, a 500-meter landscaped promenade, and various pathways and alleys totaling more than 1 hectare of green spaces. A true green lung, this refreshing oasis is designed to promote vegetation and encourage sustainable mobility, creating a peaceful and sustainable living environment for the residents and users. Eduardo Scalia has been with us for over 11 years. He began as an intern while studying civil engineering at the Federal University of Pernambuco in Brazil. Now, as the CFO and Managing Director of TPF Engenharia, Scalia oversees our internal management and strategic planning processes. He is also passionate about developing new technologies for our projects, including Plug and TPF Tools. Eduardo firmly believes that our company's success is driven by adhering to the right values and investing in our people. He emphasizes that providing autonomy and guidance to team members early in their careers fosters a motivated and capable workforce. Scalia faced the challenge of taking on the roles of Management and Finance Director at a young age, which he handled brilliantly. #TPFPerspectives #TPFTeam #Leadership #Values #BuildingTheWorldBetter
