We look back on a remarkable day in our sustainable journey! Recently, in partnership with EDP Portugal, we inaugurated our new photovoltaic park, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and the energy transition. The environmental impact of this project is immense — equivalent to planting more than 53,000 trees, a significant contribution to our planet. With around 8,000 photovoltaic panels installed across a 22,000m² rooftop area, this facility stands as one of the largest rooftop photovoltaic parks in Portugal. Furthermore, Riopele is now the first EDP customer to install solar panels on the building's façade — an innovative step that reflects our focus on sustainable solutions. "What if the key to thriving at work was something as simple as breathing?" Last week, (in collaboration with Clínica Medicina Integrativa Dr. Nuno Pacheco) I had the privilege of leading a Corporate Wellness Workshop at Riopele, one of Portugal’s oldest and most innovative textile companies. What stood out to me wasn’t just their commitment to sustainability or cutting-edge tech, but their genuine investment in employee well-being—especially in an era dominated by hustle culture. Now more than ever, 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗹𝘂𝘅𝘂𝗿𝘆. It's a strategic advantage! Through the 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, we equipped Riopele’s team with practical tools to reduce stress and boost focus—tools that they could apply both at work and in their personal lives. Considered one of the largest rooftop photovoltaic parks installed in Portugal, Riopele will be the first EDP customer to install photovoltaic panels on the building's facade, strengthening its focus on innovation, with an additional investment in the construction of a covered car park with panels.
